This is not just an ordinary whiteboard, this is a mentalist tool that can duplicate writing, images, symbols, or anything written by the audience. No carbon paper, no special markers, and very easy to use!

"Smart Writer" works automatically and is very easy to do!

Your audience writes or draws something on a piece of paper. The paper is removed from the black board, and you as a magician, can find out what the audience wrote or drew. The board can even be shown, and can be checked by the audience!

With "Smart Writer", you'll receive:

  • Black whiteboard gimmick
  • Two sheets of plain white paper
  • Black gimmick storage wallet

I have a more expensive version but wanted something that did not require me peeking elsewhere. This does allow the performer to peek on the fly on the same device while “erasing” the info after peeking, which is what I wanted it to do. Unfortunately the quality is a bit lacking as I know higher quality and more deceptive versions of the gimmick are so easily available that I might diy a version with higher quality gimmick. Does require battery which you shouldn’t be surprised considering the price.

Community questions about Smart Writer

Have a question about this product? It's possible others do too. Ask here and other Vanishing Inc. Magic customers will be able to respond with assistance! Alternatively, email us and we can help too.

  • Michael asks: How fine or small can the writing be and still be legible? Would you prefer to use this board or carbon paper if you needed to read fine writing from a ballpoint pen?

    • 1. Vanishing Inc. Magic responds: It can be small, it will be fine to read at any size. It would be down to preference as both are fine to read
  • Rick asks: My biggest question is the writing you peek glitchy or illegible? I have the IARVEL pad, and it’s a bit glitchy, as in I don’t always get the complete word or date…

    • 1. Vanishing Inc. Magic responds: The peek is in the handwriting of the spectator. So as long as it is clear, you can read it.
