From the Notebooks: Blankrupt in Reverse
By Andi Gladwin - Monday, April 22, 2019
Here's a short, but simple idea for Blankrupt. I haven't used it yet, but I figure it's better on the blog than in my notebooks. Perhaps someone will be able to take it and run with it.
I was mulling over how one might do the effect in reverse, using it to print a credit card. The idea is simple: you're out with friends and perhaps you talk about the new Apple credit card and how that card doesn't have the card number written on it. "I went one better — I found a clear card. It doesn't have anything on it!" Continue, "It looks fun, but nobody actually accepts it!" Then do any palmed card colour change (such as the TeBe Change) and will appear to visually print the credit card.
And finally, here's an unfinished idea that someone may develop into something great. I realised that you could write on the clear card with a dry erase marker pen and use that for an effect. I have no idea what, but perhaps you do? If you come up with something, share it with us.
