Attendees of Magifest are in for a real treat as Erik Tait will be presenting his remarkable act that earned him 3rd prize in the Card Magic category at FISM earlier this year. He was the first American to accomplish the feat in two decades. This outstanding blend of sleight of hand and a curious street con is a pleasure to watch.
January will be here before we know it. But, to help pass the time, let’s play a fun game of two truths and a lie. Take your guess at which one is the lie in the comments below.

Two Truths & a Lie: Erik Tait
Erik and Carisa Hendrix once accidentally wandered into an unauthorized area of a military base and needed to light a bratwurst cart on fire to create the distraction needed to escape.
Erik hates puns so much that Kyle Purnell once spent five minutes during a lecture to tell a story about the Winter Olympics that ended up just being an incredibly long setup for the pun, “Kyle Purnell thinks you are a ‘luger’” Kyle then gifted him with a sticker that said “Kyle Purnell thinks you are a ‘luger’” which Erik keeps on his notebook as a reminder to never trust Kyle when he starts telling a story.
Erik and Mark Calabrese were once in the same poker game and attempted to work against the other players. They ended up using different codes though and lost all their money to Scott Blumstein, the 2017 World Series of poker champion.
REVEAL LIE
Erik lied about #3. If you thought it was the first story, we wouldn’t blame you. It did actually happen though, but it was during a game of Dungeons and Dragons
