I have met Dorian and seen all of these routines done live. I was really excited when he told me about this. The download is broken down into several videos: the two tutorials (effects and techniques) and the performances. The fist file teaches all the effects, while the second file shows all the moves and slights. The routines taught are visual and well-constructed; however, some of the slights taught will take some practice.Avenue by Dorian Rhodell is an amazing DVD(or download) that is well worth getting your hands on.
The routines described in this video are really nice, original and visual . They are also very practical but the moves used in are not for beginner. There are two part. THe video explaining the utility moves used in the routines . And an other video describing the routines with lot of details . I m really happy to have purchased Avenue and i recommend it for all the sleights amateurs.
Dorian Rhodell is left-handed, but for the most part it was not a problem for a right-handed person like me. The tricks are performed without an audience, so there was no way to gauge audience's reaction. The tricks are very visual, and are mostly well constructed. They are patiently and well explained.However, some utility moves used are not comprehensively taught. As such, it is not recommended for beginners. A couple of the utility moves taught are extremely useful, and could very well be used in other routines. I would highly recommend this Collection to magicians of intermediate level or higher. For the beginner, you shouldn't miss this when you have raised your skill level
Techniques in Avenue are applied in many of my card routines and they are completely visual. This is one of the best items in my magic collections and should be yours too.
