This version of the classic Rising Card effect is hand crafted by the master of playing card engineering, Rob Bromley.
The gimmick is beautifully made and works with a super smooth action.
Imagine having one or even multiple cards selected and signed. The cards are lost back in the deck and, one by one, they rise from within the center of the pack.
The Rising Card effect is a classic of magic and it is practically self-working.
Comes complete with special rising card deck and full instructional DVD with routines and handling from Peter Nardi and Dave Loosley.
After having the trick sit idle for several weeks I tried it gain and the gimmick worked perfectly. The same thing happened with another one I bought. So if yours is finicky or sluggish consider letting it sit (?and dry out?) for a while and see if the gimmick doesn't work perfectly.
Received a replacement from the good folks at Alakazam. Works better but not as smoothly as in the video. I think the ambient temperature affects it: in cooler environment the cards rise much more slowly. If the deck/gimmick is a bit warmer it performs more smoothly and controllably. Love it otherwise.
It's not what I expected, but the possibility it gives you, to bring out more cards chosen, one at a time, is a great effect for the audience. Thank you
Love the routine and effect. The gimmick that I received did not work smoothly; am returning it to exchange for another. Will update after I get the new one. The included video was very helpful.
