Quite possibly the best monte routine you'll ever see. Nick Trost's "Australian Aces" is a true card magic stunner.
You openly display four cards (three Aces of Diamonds and an Ace of Clubs) and instruct your participant to follow the black Ace. To make things easier for them, you even remove one of the red aces and set it aside, face down on the table. The remaining cards (two red Aces and a black Ace) are then shown before you place the black Ace between the two red Aces.
This is the moment where they'll understand why monte routines are such effective scams. Despite how closely they thought they were following, they'll be stunned to see that you're actually now holding all three red Aces and the black Ace is on the table.
You repeat the routine, yet your participant still can't win. Somehow, the black Ace has ended up on the table again.
Here's where things get real good though...
Upon offering to show them a third time, your participant thinks they're one step ahead. This time, they guess that the black Ace is on the table. But, they're wrong again. It is a red Ace on the table. Not only that, you're now holding three black Aces.
