Crazytown Crazytown Crazytown Crazytown Crazytown Crazytown Crazytown Crazytown Crazytown Crazytown

A fooling, memorable and easy to do gem from David Regal. Stun your audiences with multiple impossible predictions before leaving them speechless with a jaw-dropping kicker ending they’ll never see coming!

“Crazytown” by David Regal is a professional quality effect that is easy enough for even beginners to do. Two powerful principles have been cleverly combined to create a remarkably deceptive routine that even fools magicians. After being used as a signature piece in David’s Magic Castle act—and fooling many of the smartest minds in magic along the way—this amazing effect is finally available to you.

This is a sensational routine that sets the tone for a performance and lets the audience know they’re in for a good time. The best part is that it’s basically self-working thanks to the two included gimmicked decks. There is no sleight of hand needed.

  • Easy to do
  • Direct, clean and fair
  • Packs small, plays big
  • Involves multiple people
  • Participants mix the cards themselves
  • No rough and smooth
  • Custom-printed decks included

Here’s What Happens…

You start by mentioning you had a dream last night. It was about the performance you’re currently doing and everyone in the audience was there. You also had two decks of cards. As the last line is said, you bring out a red and blue deck. One of your participants helps “magician proof” the blue deck by sealing it with a sticker that they initial. This deck is then placed back in your pocket.

Now, just like in your dream, it’s time for everyone to take a journey to Crazytown. The red cards are split up into four small packets that your volunteers shuffle and cut. They really give them genuine shuffles and can even cut each other’s packets.

After they’ve been fairly mixed, the top cards are flipped over. You then reintroduce the blue deck. It’s the same deck they helped you seal earlier. There are no switches or suspicious moves as you open the deck and spread it on the table. Every card is shown to be face -down, except for the four that match the audience’s selection.

Before they even have a chance to catch their breath, you hit them with a shocking kicker ending. The blue deck is flipped over to show that every other card is blank. They can examine this deck as much as they want. There really are only four printed cards in the blank deck.

“Crazytown” is a unique and memorable experience that is easy to do and allows you to get multiple people involved. It’s as entertaining as it is fooling. This is your secret weapon for blowing minds without breaking a sweat.

Comes with two custom-made decks, a sheet of stickers, and detailed video instructions.

It's important to note that although David puts the prediction deck in his pocket, this is not part of the method. It is not changed in anyway. You can rest it on the table, or even give to a spectator to hold, or put in their pocket. The prediction deck does not use rough and smooth either.

Additionally, although the most streamlined version of the presentation uses four people, there's no reason why you couldn't do it with one, two, or three spectators.

This is a fantastically produced trick. It's possibly the cleanest and most fair multiple selection effect I have seen. The packaging is really good. David Regal always takes special care with his packaging. The tutorial is really well done. One can never go wrong with David's effects. I love this and will be performing it often. Highly recommended.

I've just performed Crazytown for the first time after a week of rehearsal. It went down a storm, the look on my guests faces was both joy and confusion and when I finished with the blank cards there were gasps of delight.
I can't wait to perform it again, I'm already thinking how I can add more personalisation!
I would highly recommend Crazytown.

Crazytown by David Regal is crazy good. A fun, interactive and mystifying effect that builds to a dramatic climax. While I generally shy away from effects requiring two decks, Crazytown justifies the second deck and is worth the additional carry. The teaching by David Regal is clear and thorough, while encouraging personalization.

David always puts a lot of great thinking and details into his work, and this is no exception. The magic is a lot of fun, and he also includes a fun addition not seen in the performance that can make this a funny piece at the end. The teaching is great as it always is with David Regal, and it left me with no questions as to how strong this can play.

Absolutely love the routine!

As a long time fan of David Regal, this is, in my opinion, the best effect he has yet released. The spectators see EXACTLY what is described, but the technique is so incredibly simple that anyone can create a miracle. There is a little bit of audience management required, but nothing complex or demanding. Lots of audience participation, and a stunning result.

Lots of room for personalization as well. David's story is excellent, but with a little thought you can create your own presentation story.

Thank you for releasing this gem, David!

Not only purchased the product and worked on it, Caught David's show at the Magic Castle two nights later. The trick is classic David Regal. Nuanced, uses some really fundamental concepts in a devastating combination and leaves the audience cheering for more. Spectacular piece of work.

David always has great and unusual effects. This is one of his best. Very easy to do an mesmerizing for your participants and audience. If you can shuffle off 5 cards one at a time you can do this with ease. This would be a stunner for anyone who does card magic. Get it. A++++++++++++

Firstly I wanted to say what great service from Vanishing Inc. Ordered this on Thursday and it was delivered Saturday.
This is a great effect and soooo simple to perform, so you can really concentrate on your performance as there are no complicated things to remember. Practically self working and will get great reactions from your spectators. Another great release from one of my favourite creators.

Community questions about Crazytown

Have a question about this product? It's possible others do too. Ask here and other Vanishing Inc. Magic customers will be able to respond with assistance! Alternatively, email us and we can help too.

  • Daniel asks: Could Crazytown be shortened by having only two selections? Without requiring major changes to decks or handling?

    • 1. Vanishing Inc. Magic responds: You'd have to make some changes to one of the decks, but it should be possible. However, you can always do this with less than four people. Two people could have two packets to shuffle and cut to get two selections, as a thought.
  • Stewart asks: 1) "After they’ve been fairly mixed, the top cards are flipped over" If this was true, the top cards would be truly random, so it can't be true. There has to be some manipulation to get the desired target cards to the top of the piles. 2) He said he put the blue deck in his pocket about half an hour ago. What was happening during all that time? Certainly, much more than the video suggests.

    • 1. Vanishing Inc. Magic responds: 1) You can see the full performance on the page. It shows you everything that happens. 2) The rest of David's show. The deck doesn't need to go in a pocket. You can bring it out and give it to a spec to hold, or leave on the table. Hope that helps.
  • Ken asks: I am having trouble getting to the video tutorial. Please give me a hand.

    • 1. Jim answers: If you purchased it from Vanishing Inc Magic, the interactions will be in your account. Otherwise, write to customer service.
