Apollo Robbins and Shoot Ogawa's magic is different from most other close-up magic. The pair don't accept any boundaries of difficulty; they simply look for the strongest, most visual way to perform an effect. That tends to mean that their magic requires considerable practice, but the pay-off is worth it.
This DVD contains some incredibly strong coin and card magic. You get to see a glimpse of the performers' backgrounds, with Shoot performing some very well choreographed magic and Apollo performing pick-pocket inspired magic.
While I never thought I'd say this, one of my favourite routines is actually a purse frame routine. But, the Neo-Purse Frame isn't dumb like other purse frame routines; it's an amazingly strong series of coin appearances and vanishes and will fool absolutely everyone.
One of the most famous pieces taught on this DVD is the pair's work on the JW Wilson Grip, which is a palm that allows for some amazing coin work. If you're a coin guy and don't know much about that grip, you'll want to pick the DVD up for that alone.
This is certainly not a DVD for beginners. In fact, most advanced magicians will have some trouble learning the material on here. But, if you put the work in you'll have some amazing magic under your belt that virtually nobody does. And even if you don't want to put in the work, it's worth the money just to be completley fooled by their magic!
