The trick of the convention at Blackpool and The Session 2023 is now available worldwide!

"Drop" by Thomas Badar must be seen to be believed. Seriously, watch the trailer before continuing. You'll get to see a full performance where Thomas held a captive audience of some of the most talented magicians in the world. "Drop" is a real fooler that is super entertaining, easy to do and fun to perform.

A card is selected, signed and lost in the deck. Then, as you dribble the cards, two freely chosen cards are tossed into the deck and impossibly sandwich the selected card. You then repeat the trick. But, this time, the two cards find a perfect Royal Flush.

This looks like an incredible feat of skill that took years to master. But, "Drop" is actually surprisingly easy to perform thanks to the special gimmick cards that can be easily added to your Bicycle deck and are invisible to the naked eye.

"Drop" isn't limited to being just a sandwich routine either. Use it to find the four Aces or multiple cards that come together to create a phone number. You can even force one or more cards. There are so many possibilities for "Drop" just waiting for you to explore.

  • No short cards
  • No corner shorts
  • No crimped cards
  • Completely invisible gimmick
  • Find one or multiple cards (or even force cards)

Thomas is a worker that has used "Drop" in his own performances for nearly five years. As such, this effect was designed with workers in mind. You don't need a table because you can perform it in someone else's hands if needed. As it resets instantly, you can perform it again immediately as you walk from table to table. And, since it uses your Bicycle deck, you don't have to worry about taking up any extra pocket space.

It's rare to find an effect that is as equally powerful for magicians as it is for laypeople. After successfully using it on live audiences for years, Thomas is excited to share one of his most guarded secrets with you. Get "Drop" today!

This is a fantastic trick! I’m not sure what Richard is so exercised about Thomas not actually sharing the construction of the gimmick - who cares, it just works. I am a rank amateur so I had to practice a bit but it’s definitely worth the effort for such an incredible effect. If you can dribble cards, you can do this trick.

I really love this product. It takes a little practice to make the movements smooth, but it worth is. The reaction from the spectators is well worth it.

I would consider myself an intermediate level magician. As a hobbyist, I do not devote tons of time to the craft. When I got this trick and watch the tutorial, I first thought, "I'm going to need to practice this a lot." Remarkably, that was NOT the case. In the video, he says that it will happen sooner than you think, and I felt like that was just empty encouragement; however, I practiced only a short time and started having success. It surprised me, and I'd bet that you too will be surprised regarding how quickly you catch on to the skill. It's a great trick and I'm sure you'll love it.

I pre-ordered this from Vanishing Inc. and received it today (Aug. 4, 2023). When I examined my newest effect acquisition, I was impressed at the ingenuity of the gimmicks simplistic construction and their effectiveness when used in its application. Since the cards are standard red or blue back Bicycle cards from USPCC, they are well-made.

Based on the question section, if you're good with simple DIY, I believe you might be able construct additional gimmicks when the ones included wear out. I myself have yet to try this out, but it's what came to my mind when I examined my purchase.

Included is an IRL with a password to the online instructions. The video is well made and the effect is taught by Thomas Badar. The one negative I have about this purchase is the video is not downloadable. Otherwise, I highly recommend this gem.

The trick is definitely different than i first assumed. while i was thinking it was gimmicked in one way, it is a nice surprise to see how it truly works.

However, with that being said, don't think you will be able to jump right into it. this is not an "easy to perform" trick. You will have to learn basic moves but be skilled enough to do them almost flawlessly under a pressure environment. If you get nervous easily/have shacky hands, this might be a trick to skip. However, if you are looking for a new trick to mend into your card/close-up acts, this is a very good must have.

Let me start by saying the trick performed in the video is great. It is a very difficult trick to perform. i have hands that don't work so well. I can dribble cards just fine, but throwing the cards in where they are supposed to go will take a lot of practice. Not what he says in the tutorial. Skip this trick if you have never been able to dribble, if your hands are arthritic, if you get nervous in a pressure environment (like performing). A very clever gimmick, but for me, it goes into "The Drawer of Never Performed Tricks".

the trick itself is nice. however, I want to say this: learn the proper way to dribble. in the video he slightly goes over how to dribble but HORRIBLY explains how he does it. it is to the point where if you just take his word, you will never be able to properly perform the trick.

No question this is an excellent effect. For me, it's still a work in progress — it's exactly the kind of thing I love working on. HOWEVER, and this is a BIG caveat - the instructional video goes step by step through the handing of the routine without ever explaining the features of the necessary gimmickry.

When you purchase Drop, you are invited to join a Facebook group dedicated to the trick administered by Támas. To protect his own interests, Tamás understandably refuses to detail the construction of the gimmicks. That's all well and good. But, in spite of several requests on the site, including my own, Támas will not comment on ANY details of the features of the gimmicks. As this is not the place to discuss methods, let me just suggest that not knowing the details of how to fully exploit the necessary gimmicks in order to maximize their effectiveness is at the very least frustrating and at the most, disqualifying. Even Vanishing Inc was at a loss to answer my questions. The responses I received from my inquiries to them assumed a feature of the gimmicks that does not exist. So I'm in the dark, as are other members of the Facebook group (not to mention any and all purchasers of the trick), so unless this unnecessary mystery is cleared up, Drop will remain in the drawer.

In my more than six decades in magic, I have never encountered this kind of intransigence from an inventor. Though he gives very specific directions for handling the gimmicks, he refuses to give ANY details of the whys and wherefores of his rather prescriptive detailings of that handling. I am as baffled as I am disappointed.

  • Jon asks: Hello, how easy is this trick to do? Beginner, intermediate or advanced

    • 1. Vanishing Inc. Magic responds: Intermediate. There might be more suitable things for you to spend your money on if you're only 13. Please reach out to our Support Wizards (wizards@vanishingincmagic.com) and someone there will be able to give you recommendations!
  • Geoff asks: I see it comes with at least one "special" card. Is this card easy to replace (preferably from card stock & supplies I may already have) if lost or damaged?

    • 1. Oliver answers: Nothing is mentioned about this on the instructional video. You may need to purchase it again to get the cards.
    • 2. Geoff answers: In the advertising photos at the top of this ad, it clearly shows one (or more) cards in a holder which I assume is/are included in the shipping product.
    • 3. Zayne answers: There is no discussion of the gimmicks or how to make them in the tutorial, but I believe you can make your own once you have the gimmick in your hands.

  • Eric asks: Not a question, just a comment. He performed this for me and some of my friends at Magic Live last year - multiple times - and fooled us every. single. time. Just buy this, before somebody else does.

    • 1. Vanishing Inc. Magic responds: ??????
  • Jacob asks: Does the deck have to be in stack?

    • 1. Vanishing Inc. Magic responds: No stack is needed, the deck can be in any order
  • Juan asks: Two questions: is the deck normal other than the gimmicks? and can it be used for other effects if the gimmicks are removed after the effect (example: I finish this effect, find the 4 aces, go south with the gimmick while the audience react/examine the aces, go into twisting the aces, then use the aces to find 3 selections in a collector's routine).

    • 1. Vanishing Inc. Magic responds: The deck is normal, the gimmicks can easily be added and removed at any time This allows you to go into other routines after this effect
  • Michael asks: I struggle with dribbling cards smoothly. Is this for me?

    • 1. Vanishing Inc. Magic responds: I would suggest against it as dribbling the cards is what makes the gimmick work.
  • Keith asks: Given that it is a pre-order, is there an expected time frame for when it will be available? In short, if I preordered it, will I get email updates on when to expect it?

    • 1. Vanishing Inc. Magic responds: August 14th. You will get an email when it ships to you, and when it arrives.
  • Roel asks: There are only 2 cards. What kind of playing cards do I need to match them and make it a complete set? Maybe a link? Thanks.

    • 1. Vanishing Inc. Magic responds: They will match with regular Bicycle Rider back cards
  • Jose asks: Can I use this with a Sven deck?

    • 1. Vanishing Inc. Magic responds: It cannot.
  • Mark asks: Does it matter which hand you dribble with?

    • 1. Vanishing Inc. Magic responds: It does not.
