Framework is a collection of 34 of Tom's best card effects, created from 1978 to 2011. Think of this a an excellent 'best of' collection of Tom's work.

If you have read Hold 'Em Magic, you will know that Tom Frame has some excellent material. His latest offering continues this trend. With a foreword by Jon Racherbaumer, the book gets off to a strong start which continues throughout.

The effects are ideal for the intermediate card worker but there is plenty of material that will also interest advanced card technicians. A feature that we love is that each effect includes a scripted presentation, which, Tom believes is vital to the impact of his effects.

In his latest book Framework, Tom Frame has assembled another fascinating collection of top-quality card magic. The serious card magician will find plenty of effects and ideas to mystify and entertain every type of audience.Jason England
All other things being equal, what separates a magician from the rest of the crowd is choice of material. Card enthusiasts will find some strong contenders in the pages of Framework. I enjoyed it. I think you will, too.Mike Close, MUM November 2015
Tom's elegant, thoughtful Framework will be a welcomed happy thing for the serious sleight of hand aficionadoPaul Harris
Tom Frame's new book, Framework, has some magnificent routines, fun patter, and some great tweaks to some standard moves. I can honestly say I am a better cardician now than I was before reading this book.Allan Ackerman

Official review from Genii Magazine

From the May 2016 Genii magazine. Reviewed by Kainoa Harbottle

AS SOMEONE WHO OCCASIONALLY complains about
what I call the “tyranny of card tricks”—that genre’s
dominance over the magic market—you can imagine I
wasn’t thrilled when I received a copy of Tom Frame’s
Framework. I was not familiar with Frame’s
material, nor was I very eager to read
a book that was only card tricks. And
then something truly magical happened: I
couldn’t put the book down.

Throughout Framework, Frame teaches various sleights
and techniques most thoroughly, citing them and providing
an index of the moves at the end of the book. There
are not a lot of knuckle-busting moves, and Frame trends
towards smart, practical construction in his methods.

For me, what makes this collection most successful
is Frame’s writing. It could easily be called “funny,” but
“snarky” is probably the best descriptor. He refers to
his performing style as dominated by his “typical verbal
onslaught.” [...] Almost every trick is hysterical in both its teaching and its patter.
There are effects for everyone (yes, even coin magicians)
in Framework, and it is as entertaining as the material is
strong. I’m happy to have found one of my new favorite
authors in magic.
