Melt Card Melt Card

A diabolical gimmick from the endlessly creative Mickael Chatelain that allows you to make a playing card impossibly penetrate through another card, bill or slip of paper.

This extremely visual effect is an updated take on a classic magic trick that was popularized by David Copperfield during one of his tv magic specials. Your spectators won't believe their eyes as the playing card, paper or bill is penetrated.

Even crazier, the object which gets pierced, can be handed back for examination. Since this is the object that supposedly just had a hole put through it (and is now completely healed), there is no heat on the already-innocent gimmick as it's brought out of play.

"Melt Card" is a fun and easy effect with no complicated sleight of hand. It resets instantly, making it perfect for close-up magic or street magic.

Available in Red or Blue.

Really love Michael's creations and gimmicks. This item is extremely well made. I came across a few DIY versions that were similar to this, but I'm happy I purchased the completed gimmick. The best part? You can use it straight away with minimal set up and rehearsal. It really is a terrific illusion.
