Magic download (video) by Bob Farmer (14.95)

One of magic’s best think-of-a-card routines is now available at Vanishing Inc.

"'Tsunami' is the best damn card trick since Out of This World!" Dennis Marks

“Tsunami” is a devastating effect created by the legendary Bob Farmer. It uses an ingenious principle that, over the years, has been expanded to its fullest potential by many legends in magic. Now, you can learn the original routine, plus all the best variations, in one amazing download.

The core “Tsunami” effect features you and a participant engaging in a fun game of “mental poker”. They think of a card, and you place a series of “bets” as you attempt to uncover its identity. You not only eventually reveal the exact card but hit them with a stunning kicker ending that proves you were 10 steps ahead the whole time.

No luck or chance. No sleight of hand. No gaff cards. Just a normal deck and a wildly-clever principle that enables you to perform miracles without any hard work.

This download is the ultimate collection of everything needed to get the most out of “Tsunami”. Andi Gladwin breaks down the simple principle before teaching you the complete routine alongside many other variations and ideas— including a borrowed deck version that Andi and Bob have used to fool magicians for years. That amazing routine is a masterclass in being way ahead of the audience.

"A collection of unusual mental/gambling routines based on ingenious principles that some top names have raved about, and been badly fooled with. The magician that bothers to learn 'Tsunami' will have an anywhere- anytime game of Psychic Poker that will destroy laymen." Jeff Busby

Exclusive Bonus

“Tsunami” also comes with a bonus ebook from Bob Farmer himself. On top of offering more variations and ideas, this special 39-page ebook takes a deeper dive into the principle and its evolution.

"Buy this now or die of regret when your buddy blows you away with it" Rick Johnsson, Linking Ring

"One of the most delightful conceptions in card magic. This is something not to be missed by the intelligent magician." Peter Warlock, Abra

Brilliant trick. Self-working, which is my favorite, and a lot of avenues to take it for presentations.

I'm kind of embarrassed as I had this booklet when I was younger and never appreciated how strong the effect (and whole concept) is. I love getting an e-book along with a teaching video. I especially liked Andy's teaching toward the end of the video using a borrowed deck for Tsumani and the "extra" of a new method (to me, anyway) of forcing a card. Well done, and thanks VanishingInc!

Bob Farmer's creative magical mind is at work! Andi Gladwin's clear and enthusiastic teaching and demonstrating puts it into practice! It's a marvelous combination that yields powerful effects for your repertoire. Involve one to three participants, have them do most of the card handling, put your money on the line (and into the story)-- you'll win the audience respect AND get your money back!

I am glad that Vanishing Inc. made this book available again and brought the trick and concept back to attention. Thank you very much! The video teaches the method very well.

Had the original manuscript and worked this up to the point of trying it...but was doubtful it would work. Watching Andi's very eloquent performances and explanations (not to mention the updated e-book version of Bob Farmer's original with adds), makes this worth the modest price AND prompting me to watch the Tsunami wave wow my audiences.

Bob's concept is really, really clever and Andi's teaching is world class. This is one of those perfect downloads in that you get the video, the ebook, and some very clear teaching.

  • Wayne asks: Can you post a video of a performance for tsunami? It’s hard to see what the effect is from the little video teaser ad. Thanks.

    • 1. FLY (35312) Diego answers: I Agree, a full performance of the trick is much better
    • 2. Will answers: Look again, read the description as well… I believe at least one version of the trick is already posted below the description.

  • Allen asks: I seem to be missing the trick. To me, it seems that the magician is simply asking a series of questions and gets the card right based on narrowing the selection down from the spectators answers. And the royal flush kicker is just a hand that the magician chose to add that part on. Can someone please explain what it would look, like to a spectator beyond simply fishing for answers and getting the idnetity of the card through elimination? Thanks!

    • 1. Sean answers: All, this particular presentation (while wonderfully presented by Andi) is not the strongest application of this principle. To be honest, I was a bit sad to see Tsunami being offered here as a download. It is a true gem. The principle is brilliant and there are versions that are much more subtle. The method literally begs for us to apply in a myriad of wonderful ways. If you have the slightest bit of creativity, this will be one of your best purchases this year (or I will buy you a doughnut). Elegantly simple and brilliant, typical Bob Farmer.
    • 2. Sean answers: ...to be clear, I have not bought this video download. I have owned the Tsunami printed booklet for eons. I am assuming you get that as a PDF as well. V.I. can correct me if I am wrong.
    • 3. Allen answers: Hmmm. Sounds like worthy of a more in-depth look. Thank you!
