What do have to say? It's David Williamson. You will be fooled. You will laugh. You will be taught magic with great insight into not just moves but the theory behind them. I cannot imagine anyone serious about magic buying any product with his name and not feeling like they had gotten more than their money's worth. Study what he teaches and you even get to laugh while you're learning. I think the spoon and salt routines are brilliant, practical, and impromptu. And, everything else is awesome!

This was just awesome! Even if there is quite a lot of overlap between this lecture and his Penguin Live lecture (regarding the effects, advice and funny stories) I really enjoyed this. His Penguin Live covers a lot more (eg. his Cups and balls, ring and rope and lots of card stuff). But I'm really happy I bought this as well since it literally made me laugh out loud several times throughout and provided me with more wonderful advice from a true master of the craft! I also love the quick spoon bend routine as well as the hilarious spelling card trick he shares in this lecture. 5/5 stars for this lecture/show without a doubt! Super entertaining!

I had no idea who David Williamson is, and I bought this download on a flyer; i.e., it just looked like fun. Let me tell you, it was hilarious; although, it all happened so fast I could hardly keep up. I especially liked David's interaction with his assistant, Helen. She messed up so badly that I almost cheered out loud when he stopped and rearranged the cards and started over again. David's stories are great, including the kids at the magic lecture; his uncle Bob, the alcoholic combat pilot with PTSD; and ultimately, David's performance with David Copperfield in Siegfried & Roy's penthouse suite. This was priceless stuff; and I may even have learned some magic and some presentation gems from it all.

Anything by Dave is a great purchase. The trick with the spoon is so cool. Really creative thinking as always with Dave. Just watching perform and listening to his stories (specially the David Copperfield one) is a ton on fun. Watching Dave perform is also a masterclass, he really know how to entertain not also the spectator he is directly interacting with but also the entire audience. Even If you don't end up using these effects you'll have an hour and a half of fun with a great magician! Worth the price.

Purchased his penguin lecture in 2018 and can’t recommend that enough, but this one made me laugh 10x as much, his advice on the top change and the spoon and fork routine paid for the lecture, out of all the magicians, him and Dani daortiz are my favourite and this purchase was a roller coaster of great emotions. Thank you David, if you ever by some chance read this, you’re incredible.

If you want to watch a comedy sketch buy this... the teaching is awful since he covers each move with 5 minutes of rambling. Its almost like the magic is an after thought for this lecture. It would not recommend this lecture unless you can follow a fragmented teaching session with minor amounts of actual education.

Are you kidding me? This lecture kills. For the price you absolutely can not beat it. There are so many little theological nuances. If your buying this to learn a lot of tricks its probably not for you. The effects that Mr. Williamson teaches are well worth the download alone. If your looking to see what real entertainment looks like and not just some tricks strung together than look no further. This is how you entertain.

Dave Williamson is one of those magicians where, whenever I see something with his name on, I have incredibly high expectations, and yet he manages to exceed them every time.

This lecture contains some lovely tricks, is laugh out funny, and at the same time, deeply educational. How Dave manages to communicate deep ideas about theory while making you laugh your ass off is as astonishing as the tricks!

Essential viewing for anyone serious about their close up magic.

First, I rarely write a review on magic products over the years. It is even useless for the time in 2012 where we have giga bytes of instant downloads of magic secrets flood all over the internet, and many of them are free of charge.

However, I have to tell you guys to buy this one and treasure it.

It's Dave. One of the greatest magician in the history of magic, ever.

Watch and listen to his attention to details and his thoughts on magic knowledge from the Professor now can be yours too if you try to listen and understand.

I have learn so much from Dave as being his assistant of his lecture tour in 2009 (China) and I hope that you people can learn something from this lecture.

David Williamson is great. He is hilarious and gives lots of insightful pointers from real world experience. The video quality is not the greatest (why 4 stars), but all of his humorous stories and insightful pointers are incredibly useful

I loved this lecture! David Williamson obviously has an abundance of talent matched with an equal amount of experience. If you are looking for a straight lecture and teaching, this will not be your cup of tea. But if you would like to spend an entertaining hour with an artist, you will enjoy this lecture immensely. The thumb tip salt vanish and recovery is a master class on the use of simplicity to provide a moment of authentic wonder. His clean up on the cigarette through quarter is excellent. I will go back and compare to Michael Ammar's lecture, also found on Vanishing Inc and see if the two can be joined together in some way. I would recommend Williamson's other teaching video where performance and explanation are paired in a more systematic way. In fact, the "He Who Spelt it Deal It" effect is itself worth that investment. Here you'll find the spoon routine around the three minute mark. Spelt it Delt it comes in at about twenty minutes. Then comes the Torn and Restored routine at thirty-six minutes and his performance of the top change is very instructive. The Salt Vanish and Recovery comes in about the one hour mark, followed by the cig through quarter anecdote at about 1:20. I hope the timeline helps.

As every Dave Williamson stuff, the magic and humour is great.
What REALLY bothers me about this video is the sound quality. It is very echoey and is rather tiring to listen to.
Quite disappointed by this as it ruins the video for me. Can't watch it all in one go.
