Jack Hart's version of a Paul Curry classic used with Jack's permission.

This is the effect that first inspired Dean's Box. A fantastic routine using an ordinary red rope and an ordinary white rope. The ends remain visible the whole time while the centers of two ropes are placed behind your neck, and yet the ropes link in the cleanest possible manner. This will fool any audience. It's an effect Dean has constantly used in his strolling magic.

NOTE: This is an excerpt from 3-Dean Trilogy by Dean Dill

Jack Hart’s rendition of a Paul Curry classic, as featured with Jack’s gracious permission, is a true marvel in the realm of magic. This effect, which initially sparked the inspiration for Dean’s Box, is a breathtaking routine employing nothing more than an ordinary red rope and an ordinary white rope. Throughout the performance, the ends of the ropes remain in plain sight, heightening the mystique as the centers are seemingly threaded behind the magician’s neck, only to astoundingly link in the most pristine fashion imaginable.

This routine, also showcased in Dean Dill’s 3-Dean Trilogy, epitomizes the elegance of simplicity, making use of everyday items to create a bewitching spectacle. The seamless linking of the ropes, with the ends constantly visible, adds an extra layer of impossibility that is sure to cofound any audience. Having experienced the magic firsthand, it’s noteworthy to mention that even with knowledge of the secret, the deception is so masterfully executed that I remain thoroughly mind-blown. This is a timeless classic that leaves a lasting impression that defies explanation.
