A masterfully elegant update on an oft-overlooked classic.

The magic drawer box is a classic of magic. It has been performed on stages around the world for decades. But, while small plastic versions of this amazing magic trick can be found in nearly every beginner magic kit, there has never been a premium close-up option available...until now.

“Anything Box” has been carefully designed to be a luxurious close-up version of the drawer box. It was developed by magician Conan Liu after he was unable to find a similar prop that met his strict requirements for both quality and versatility, while also being suitable for close-up magic performances and incredibly easy to use.

Working with a team of talented magicians, Conan developed “Anything Box”—a premium, professional quality wooden drawer box that allows you to perform all your favorite effects while also having a unique design feature that enables you to transform small objects as well.

The inner dimensions are roughly the size of a standard deck of Bicycle Playing Cards. You can produce, vanish or transform anything that fits in the space.

  • Handcrafted from gorgeous real black walnut
  • Polished wooden surface
  • Fine copper brass handle
  • Looks like a lavish collectable

Conan Liu has used “Anything Box” in countless TV appearances and corporate shows. It’s self-working and offers endless room for creativity.

Check out the full performance above to see how Conan uses his “Anything Box” to take his “invisible Deck” routine to new heights by making an “invisible” deck of cards physically appear in an empty drawer.

Limited quantities available.

NOTE: This is the box only. You must provide your own items to produce or vanish.

I was hesitant on this item, as I didn't think it looked like it was worth $80. Anyway, I bit the bullet on 19 August and hit PLACE MY ORDER. knowing that if I was not satisfied I can return the item. I received it yesterday 28th August and I was excited to see what it can do. I was a little upset that it had a minor scratch on the top, but it's not bad. It'll be a great way to start card routines by telling the audience you can't complete the show because you forgot your cards then all the sudden, there they are. There are a few other interesting ways to use this box too, you just have to be creative. I'm now looking at some other boxes for other dissapearing acts. If you don't the price, it's definitely a good box to have.

I live for TCC magic products!this is a wonderful, well-built magic product. I use it as a transitional element and it’s perfect. Easy to use and to incorporate into storytelling. Love it.

I like this a lot, particularly like the invisible deck routine idea. Super easy to use and do and will fool most anyone.

The box looks very attractive and it is generally well made. (The drawer is not absolutely flush but I’m only being so fussy in view of the relatively high price)! The effect is great and if you are careful with your angles (and how you hold the box) spectators won’t see anything they shouldn’t.

This is a great device. Well made and beautifully designed, this effect does exactly what it says it will do. The teaching is detailed and clear. I highly recommend the Anything Box.

What a great utility item.

It fits both the modern & classical performer. It’s deceptive, usable, & functional.

Highly recommended

This is another great product to go along with the other products in this line. Nothing too difficult but I was taken back when there was no instructions in the box (not sure if there was meant to be) but similar items such as this has a website address where you can go and check some of the nuances of this item. Normally instructions do come printed in the underside of the box .....but I am just picky. Apart form this purchase this if you can as you will not be disappointed. I am sure many more items in this typwe of magic line will come along...so get in quick.

The quality is top notch. The additions make this prop one for professionals. I used this in a birthday party this weekend as a finale to Misers Dream. I opened the drawer and set it on the table. I pulled one last coin from behind the ear of the birthday girl, and handed her a wand. She put the coin in the box, closed the drawer, tapped the box with the wand and said, “Abracadabra!”. She opened the drawer and it was filled with coins! Her reaction was as if real magic happened. Who knew a draw box could have this effect? It was a fantastic, hands off, miracle made by the birthday girl! Two thumbs up

This is great. Paired it with an invisible deck routine and it was next level for the spectators. It really is only limited by your imagination and some size restrictions. Don't think like a magician and tell yourself "It looks like a magic prop". Who cares? Buy one and see how people respond to it. My only complaint is that there are a few scratches of sorts on the front of mine. Maybe I'm being picky but for 80 bucks I would prefer there were no imperfections. Otherwise, gold all around

Knew what I wanted and was able to get it fast from Vanishing. If you need a production box that holds cards or a load of similar size this is the best you can get. My favorite thing about this box is it’s so easy to use and you can remove the draw completely after the production is revealed. If you hold your hand in the right place you can also so the interior at this time as well. Packaging is over the top. Hard cardboard and lush padding. And that leads to why it only gets 4 stars. My box did come with one damaged corner. I fixed it with fine sand paper. But with the over the top packaging it was obvious that the damage took place before it was put in the box and was put in anyway. Not Vanishings fault and not a big deal, but at $80 it should have been caught by the manufacturer and fixed not boxed that way. Still even after the work I had to do I love the Anything Box and will use it often. One of my new favorite props.

If well used (for example an an invisible deck introduction), this box is perfect. I however wouldn't use it for transformations, because it's not examinable.
Beautiful piece anyway.

It's a high quality quick change/transformation box and works smoothly, but it only get 4 stars because both the drawer and the box not examinable and it's very expensive for what you get. Don't expect big wonders with this, but you can do some cool small tricks.

I bought 2 of these. The one from TCC and the other from VI. Both required some serous DIY. I had to sand down certain parts of the box and refinish it as it wasn't aligned properly. One I had to literally take apart and fix. This product has so much potential but the quality control isnt so great. That said I use them to great effect and it baffles laymen.

Maybe my expectations were too high, but I’m quite disappointed by the craftsmanship. When the drawers are nested, an off measurement in the magnets’ alignment produces gaps in the two pieces that look unnatural and telegraph the method. The box feels and looks lovely, but the imperfections are frustrating. I won’t be putting this into active use, but I’m going to keep it as a novelty for producing candy during holidays. It’s good enough for cute tricks for kids, but I won’t be using it for anything beyond that.

This item is a mixed bag for me. I like the idea and I really love wood tricks. I've always liked the look and feel of wood so I thought I'd give it a try. The concept is fine but my problem is with the quality, or lack thereof. It's just not s advertised. The drawer is flush on one side but has a huge gap on the other. It's just the little things when working with wood that can make or break the piece. Unfortunately the quality control was lacking here and it shows very clearly, it's very disappointing. I could not recommend this to anyone. For this price a lot more care should have been taken!

Magic boxes fascinate me and I was looking forward to get the Anything box in my hands to try it out. Aesthetically it is impeccable but the box that arrived had some problems: inverted magnets and other things that prevented it from closing properly. I had to do a little DIY work to fix it, but the folks at VI have compensated me for it. Now that it is fixed and fits well it works perfectly and is a solid, well made and elegant magic box. TCC should keep a better eye on their quality control.

Community questions about Anything Box

Have a question about this product? It's possible others do too. Ask here and other Vanishing Inc. Magic customers will be able to respond with assistance! Alternatively, email us and we can help too.

  • Richard asks: What are the overall (outside) measurements ( H, W, and L) of the box? What are the inside (i.e. load compartment) measurements ( H, W, and L) of the box?

    • 1. Vanishing Inc. Magic responds: Outside: 4" x 4 7/8" x 2" Inside: 2 5/8" x 3 7/8" x 3/4"
  • Miguel asks: Can be used as a switch device? Let's say a red card box into a blue one?

    • 1. Chris answers: No. You may be able to switch a single card for another one. But certainly not a full deck.

  • Kenny asks: How much set up is involved? How fast can you move from one trick to the next?

    • 1. Jim answers: Minimal setup, but it would be done before your performance.

  • David asks: In the description you mention that there is a full performance of the Invisible Deck routine. I can't seem to find it. Did I miss it?

    • 1. Jim answers: That seems to be a bug. Try watching it here: https://vimeo.com/585991335/902d4a0a65

  • Brandon asks: In one review it mentions that the spectator put the item in the box and closed it and then opened it themselves. Does this do the switch automatically where a spectator could be holding it or do you need to do a move similar to the traditional cheaper plastic drawer box?

    • 1. Vanishing Inc. Magic responds: The magician will need to open the box the first time. Afterwards, the participant can close and then then open the box, apparently having performed the appearance of the contents in the drawer. While the box will not stand up to heavy examination, it will pass as innocent when casually handled.
  • Ryan asks: The box I just received takes some effort to open and close the gimmick, making it hard to do it smoothly. Is sanding it down possible, or would it damage it too much?

    • 1. Vanishing Inc. Magic responds: Please contact customer services and we will fix this for you.
  • Matthew asks: Two questions. What are the dimensions inside and out? Would I also be able to purchase a non-gaffed version?

    • 1. Matthew answers: Ok I see the dimensions are addressed. My apologies. Is it possible to either buy an ungaffed version as well? Or, could I buy two of them and un-gaff one of them?

  • James asks: would I be able to switch one 18" silk for another with this?

    • 1. Vanishing Inc. Magic responds: This would be to big to switch in this box
