We get asked almost every day to recommend the best inexpensive Cups and Balls and we've finally found the perfect set! Produced by our friends at TCC, the cups in this set are a good size, have a good weight to them, and have a gorgeous brass finish.

Each cup weighs about 0.25kg, which makes them handle really nicely. But our favorite part about these cups is how they look: they are bronzed and covered with white wax, creating a luxurious finish. The balls have been hand-knitted with yarn, and are also the perfect weight for any Cups and Balls routine.

If you are a fan of the Tommy Wonder routine (like we are), you'll find that the flannelette bag that comes with the set is perfect for Tommy's closing routine.

One of my favorite sets. These things are heavy! But weighted perfectly. Love the look and feel. No complaints at all.

The cups are perfectly weighted with a nice brushed sheen finish and the red crocheted balls compliment the cups perfectly. There's also a luxurious flannelette bag to keep the set together as well as a well presented storage box. ACAB is another fantastic product from TCC.

• Gareth asks: What is the durability of these cups? Would they be able to withstand a hefty fall?

  • 1. Vanishing Inc. Magic responds: How far of a fall? Off of a table? Or off of a tall bar? What are they falling on? Carpeted floor? Concrete? In general, they should withstand short falls onto non-rough surfaces and they should be ok. There may be light scratches or tiny dents, but nothing significant.

  • 1. James answers: The inside diameter of the cup is 2.625 inches. The diameter of a standard tennis ball is 2.70 inches.
