Quantum by Calen Morelli...it looks like a camera trick, but isn't.

Have you watched the trailer yet? Go on, watch it then come back.

Yup, it looks as good in real life as it does on video. A Sharpie penetrates a playing card, hyper-visually. It's slid about the card, like The Moving Hole, then cleanly removed from the card.

Sure, the card is gimmicked and you'll need to switch it. But wow, what a moment of magic you've created for your audience.

It's the ideal mixture of hugely visual magic and incredibly well made, practical gimmickry we've come to expect from Calen Morelli.

The gimmick (hand-made in Texas by Davey "Rockit" Goddard) is astonishing. The highest possible quality. Well looked after, it will last and last. Everything is self-contained and also resets instantly.

This used to be sold for over $70 when Calen came up with the idea. Now, it's lower price is putting it in reach of more performers.

It was designed to be done on Instagram, but with the touches, nuances and wrinkles explained in the highly detailed video instructions you can do it strolling or close up too.

You'll be able to start performing this immediately. Simple. Visual. Practical. The best solid through solid penetration we've seen for some time.

When I got it, I was surprised how it was done. Not disappointed either! Pure eye candy!

Just got the product - beautiful package. But why i get gimmick, where the "fit" of the sharpy is sloppy?!
1. The gimmick falls apart and does not hold together as a whole at all.
2. Size of card's gimmick don't fit to sharpy.
3. video instruction can't be opened in full window.
I'm not satisfied! Calen Morelli should pay attention on quality of his product. 35£ goes in the garbage.
Don't recommend to buy this product.

Okay, one caveat, I ordered this specifically to present on a pre-recorded video. I'm a mentalist but needed something super visual. This fit the bill. The gimmick is well made and worked perfectly for me. But like Calen states, it will wear out. Again, I won't be performing this all the time so that's not an issue. Skill wise, a few hours of practice and I had it down. Becomes muscle memory. Some slight angle issues but those are covered naturally by the performance. I have to say it's a lot of fun to practice in the mirror. It looks awesome!

After reading reviews and watching the promo video presentation, I ordered one. It looked a lot better on your video than it actually is. As an older magician, I had difficulty with the gimmick, and the "fit" of the sharpy was sloppy. Removal was also more difficult than the video showed. While I only played with it for a couple of minutes, I think it would take lots of practice to make it look magical (as in the video). The promo states it's fast and easy to do... not so much. With practice, I think I can improve how it looks for me... others experience may be different.

  • Matt asks: The image clearly shows a blue card.. is there any way to get this gimmick with a blue card!??? I’ve only seen red in person

    • 1. Vanishing Inc. Magic responds: I am afraid that we can only get red backs.
  • Juan asks: Two quick questions: Is the pen also gimmicked? And are switching methods for any and all gimmicks taught?

    • 1. Stanley answers: Hey Juan, I had purchased Quantum. Super visual when you practice on the mirror. The pen and playing card is a gimmick. On the video, Calen does teach the switching to finish clean. Simple slight of hands to do the switch. And super easy to do!

  • Alan asks: I UNDERSTAND THE PRINCIPALS OF BOTH GIMMICKS HOW DURABLE IS THE CARD AND HOW MUCH THICKER THAN NORMAL PLAYING CARD, HOW MUCH EXAMINATION?

    • 1. Mark answers: Both gimmicks not examinable at all. Card looks and feels a tiny, tiny bit thicker than a normal card. Hardly noticeable by the naked eye.

  • Mohammad asks: does it come with the sharpie?

    • 1. Vanishing Inc. Magic responds: Yup!
  • Jeremy asks: I wanted to ask this under the other question about the price, but couldn't. So, was the price increase to increase the quality of the gimmick? I saw others complain of poor fits. I don't want to pay $50 for a gimmick if the fit is bad. Spectators will burn a hole through the card looking at this type of effect. We want it to look like real magic at that price point. (If it weren't an item that wears out it might be a bit more understandable, but this will definitely wear out.)

      • 1. Vanishing Inc. Magic responds: Unfortunately not at this time.
    • David asks: Why are the reviews listed as four and five-star reviews when they're not even one or two-star reviews? This is the second time I have posted this question as the first time it was taken down without an answer.
