I think this trick is quite fantastic. It’s a really killer EDC. That being said, I’m one of those Canadian magicians who can’t stand justifying the existence of foreign props like US receipts that I went ahead and purchased a thermal printer from Amazon with real receipt paper to create my own versions with local Walmart and Costco address I frequent. A glaring discrepancy with the Costco reciepts was that the prices were not adjusted to accommodate Costco’s considerably higher prices. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a product under $5 at Costco. A bit of a flaw that I corrected with a simple solution.

Aside from that, I think this is very clever and worth ever penny!

This is a wonderful book test in your pocket using organic props, realistic looking Costco and Walmart receipts. What's terrific about this is that with one minor bit of fishing--and it's not the first letter of the word like other book tests--you can nail the item your spectator is thinking of as well as its price. The method is ingenious and deceptive. I'm using this all the time now in my close-up repetoire. It's a book test without having to carry around a book. Highly recommended.

I haven't received the receipts yet but I watched the video. The method is great and I can't wait to use it. Very easy to learn. Very deceptive. I own a lot of book tests that are unreal from many different people but it's cool you can just put this in your wallet. Everything can be examined.
