Basic Coin Magic 2.0

This is a perfect start into coin magic. Not a lot of moves, Ian Kendall is breaking it down to the very basics and that's why it works so well. His teaching is casual and easy to follow. You don't need more than this to do coin magic, but since there's always room for more, this is a very good starting point. For me it is the best source for beginners. If you learn mainly from videos and you want to dive deeper, I recommend more than one teacher and other sources for more "complete" teaching. But let Ian be your first one. After learning from him it was easier for me to follow the more complex tutorials, where you sometimes have the feeling that the teacher can no longer really put himself in the situation of a beginner.

This is a great beginner magic video for coin sleight of hand featuring several palms including the classic palm. The video teaches practices methods which are encouraging to a beginner. It also teaches 3 vanishes/fake transfers including a retention vanish and the French Drop. I can't wait to view part II.

Wonderful instruction. I first bought the One Coin Masterclass thinking I knew enough moves from reading a bit of Bobo's Modern Coin Magic a while back. 4 minutes into that video I realized I was lacking some skill. So I immediately came back and purchased this. What I didn't realize is that I was lacking some very basic moves that LOOK like experts only moves! This video teaches those basics clearly, with wonderful insight that only comes from experience in front of spectators. Whether you are a beginner or intermediate, or think you are an expert, I believe this video belongs nestled up right next to the first few pages of Modern Coin Magic.

I haven't really done anything with coins to date. I love my cards but trying to diversify to help with misdirection etc. I've found this has some great practice tips and fundamental intro to coins. I'm very pleased with my purchase.

Ian Kendall is a true mechanic at coin sleights. He makes coin magic look simple, and he breaks it down at a good pace on each move. I can’t say I’ve mastered all the palms and passes but I can certainly do now what I couldn’t do yesterday. I’m enjoying his videos so far and recommend what I’ve seen to anyone struggling with coin magic.

The comments on timing are excellent. I have played around with a lot of these techniques and I am not really a coin person. I just want to make the couple of effects I do look better. This video will really help you do this. Not sure I will ever be able to do the Himber vanish though!
