Emergence Warranty - Terms and Conditions

General Information
In an effort to give you 100% confidence when shopping at Vanishing Inc., a ONE (1) YEAR LIMITED WARRANTY is applied to any “Emergence” by Tim Hill that is purchased directly from Vanishing Inc. Magic. Anyone who purchased “Emergence” directly from the Vanishing Inc. online store, or who is able to produce a proof of purchase from one of Vanishing Inc.’s physical stores, conventions, or lectures, is automatically eligible for this warranty.

This limited warranty starts the date your purchase is made and protects you against any defects, operational issues, or damage you encounter as a result of the manufacturing or shipping of the product. It DOES NOT cover any defects, operational issues, or damage caused by improper operation or user error.

This limited warranty only applies to customers of Vanishing Inc. All warranty claims are subject to the discretion of Vanishing Inc. All decisions made by Vanishing Inc. are final.

User Error
If you purchased “Emergence” via a method that doesn’t require shipping (i.e. at the store or a convention), it is assumed that you have inspected the unit for any noticeable damage prior to leaving. As such, warranty claims for external damage on in-person purchases are subject to being denied on the basis of user error (including but not limited to dropping the unit or loading it with an object other than an appropriate sized coin).

Purchasing an “Emergence” From Another Magic Store
This warranty is supplied by Vanishing Inc. only for customers of Vanishing Inc. If you’ve purchased an “Emergence” from another magic store, it will be governed by any returns and/or warranty policies that the store has in place. Please contact them directly for any questions or concerns you have about “Emergence.”

Purchasing an “Emergence” Secondhand
The warranty for “Emergence” IS TRANSFERABLE, but only if the device was purchased from Vanishing Inc. If you purchase “Emergence” from someone who purchased it directly from Vanishing Inc., you will eligible for any warranty that remains starting from the time they made the original purchase from Vanishing Inc.

To transfer the warranty, you and/or the original purchaser must email us at wizards@vanishingincmagic.com with the order ID and email address used to make the initial purchase, as well as the name and email of the new owner that the warranty is being transferred to. Failure to complete this step may result in your warranty claim being denied.

Owners of an Earlier Model of “Emergence”
Earlier models of “Emergence” were sold at conventions prior to its official release on October 7, 2024.. Anyone who owns one of those versions is automatically enrolled into a limited one (1) year warranty that starts on October 7, 2024, and concludes on October 7, 2025.

You will need to provide proof of your attendance at the convention and, if applicable, a proof of purchase for the “Emergence” unit.

If you’ve already returned an old unit or have already received a refund and/or any compensation (either monetary or via store credit) for an old unit, you are not eligible for this automatic warranty program.

Submitting a Warranty Claim
To make a warranty claim, please take clear videos and/or photos of the issue and send it along with a detailed written summary, and your order number and/or proof of purchase to magic@vanishingincmagic.com with the subject line: “Emergence Warranty Claim - [YOUR FULL NAME]”.

Completing a Warranty Claim
Once your submission has been received, our team will review it and reply back with a resolution or further instructions. This may take up to forty-eight (48) hours. So, please only follow up on a request if it has been more than forty-eight (48) hours.

In many cases, the issues can be resolved without you needing to ship anything back. However, in other cases, you may need to send your defective unit in for repair. Vanishing Inc. will send a prepaid shipping label for this and will also cover any shipping costs incurred to send the unit back to you. However, the customer is still responsible for safely packaging the “Emergence” unit in a way that ensures no further damage is incurred in transit. Any “Emergence” units that arrive in a way that is deemed improperly protected (i.e. thrown in a box without any additional padding) may have its warranty voided.

If it is required that your unit be returned to us, please allow 4 to 6 weeks for the completion of our warranty service.

Warranty claims do not have any effect on the status of your warranty. Your warranty will continue to run for one (1) year uninterrupted unless a claim results in a full replacement. In the cases where a new unit is provided, the original warranty will immediately expire and a new (1) year limited warranty will be applied to the new unit. This warranty starts on the day the new unit is sent to you.
