Vanishing Inc. Event Terms
By signing up to any Vanishing Inc. event (including conventions and retreats), you agree to these terms:
1. Registration
1.1. Unless a date is specifically provide on the registration page, Vanishing Inc. events registrations are non-refundable. Registrations cannot be transferred to future years, or redeemed for store vouchers.
1.2. Vanishing Inc. events registrations may be transferred to other people subject to approval. Please email us the name of the person that you are wishing to transfer your registration to a minimum of 4 weeks prior to the start of the event. Fees may be charged for registration transfers.
1.3. All attendees at Vanishing Inc. events must be registered. We maintain a zero-tolerance policy for unregistered magicians who crash the party. Our events only work because we allocate registration money to bring in world-class talent. When people crash the event without contributing, it’s unfair to those who do pay. Anyone not displaying a badge will be asked to leave by hotel security. Anyone caught at the event without registering will be permanently banned.
1.4. We retain the right to cancel a registration at any time.
1.5. Registration must be made in your full name, or performing name.
2.1. Due to the nature of Vanishing Inc. events, the performers and schedule may change without prior notice. In the event of a performer needing to cancel, we are not able to accommodate refunds or changes to tickets.
2.2. We try to run all events on time. However, some timing adjustments may be necessary during Vanishing Inc. events to keep things running smoothly.
2.3. In the event that we need to postpone an event due to government regulations or in the interest of health and safety for our guests, performers, or team, your ticket will be automatically transferred to the new date under the same terms and conditions. In the event of a cancellation, we will contact you to arrange a full refund.
2.4. In the event of cancellation or rescheduling, we are not responsible for any costs incurred to you, (including, but not limited to travel costs and hotel costs) and therefore, we recommend you make arrangements to book flights and hotels that are easily cancellable and refundable – and have the relevant travel insurance in place.
3. Photography and Video
3.1. Photography is not permitted unless the performer you are photographing gives consent beforehand.
3.2. Filming is not permitted without prior approval. Anyone filming without permission will be asked to leave.
3.3. No photographs from Vanishing Inc. events are to be published in print media without consent from the organizers.
3.4 All guests are subject to being photographed or filmed at any point during the convention and its accompanying workshops. The workshops may also be converted into video downloads that are offered to all Vanishing Inc. customers.
4. Health and Safety
- 4.1. You agree to adhere to any present government-imposed health and safety guidelines, including the use of a mask when required, regular handwashing, and social distancing where required. Please do not attend in person if you are showing symptoms of COVID-19 or other contagious disease.
5. Guest Conduct
- 5.1. Vanishing Inc. events are intended to be enjoyable, fun, safe, and supportive environments for everyone. Guests are expected to display common courtesy for all attendees and refrain from any abusive, disruptive or detrimental behavior. Such actions – at the sole discretion of the organisers – may result in the cancellation of your registration without refund.
6. Terms specific to The Retreat
- 6.1. As registrations are non-refundable – and life’s unexpected situations happen - travel insurance is a requirement of attending. Please ensure you have sufficient medical, cancellation and travel coverage for your trip.
