I got the White pieces today.
It could have been much better.
They look a bit Big and not so nice, but this is not the real problem that I gave it a low rating.
The Bishop piece came too small inside; when you try to put in the Die, you just can't close it.
I had to do some craft and die to shave some of the inner parts so the dice could fit in.
The other pieces are ok and have enough room inside for the dice to fit in.
I am also concerned about the place for the dice, it is very tight and might hurt the dice in the long run.
The way the pieces are closed also might warn out as time pass.
I will say that you have to be very careful when you handle the dice to go in and out of the pieces.
For the price we paid for 4 pieces I would expect some more quality.
When the dice are inside, they work well with no problem.

I know they said that this is an accessory for Mental Dice but, in my opinion, they could have designed it to accommodate Color Match as well. I mean, c'mon. They're both Anverdi so why not provide an accessory that works for either....It would have taken a very small additional modification to do that. After you spend this much money for 4 chess pieces, you shouldn't have to do any additional DIY to do that. In addition, I wasn't as impressed with the design as I assumed I would be (trying to be covert here so as not to give too much away). Time will tell if it actually lasts and stays secure. Again, a small change in how this is done would have made things completely secure and solid.

  • Mark asks: Your description states that "Mental Die" must be purchased separately. I don't think that this effect can be performed with "Mental Die" alone. Did you mean to say "Mental Dice"?

    • 1. Sean answers: You could perform a “Kurotsuke” type routine with “Mental Die” (read: who has the King, etc.), but you could not automatically determine which piece a each person in a group of four may have . However, due to the nature of the pieces, a magnet could easily be placed inside one of the pieces, which would could alternatively create “Hummer” type possibilities as well. Thus, there is a lot that can be done even with one die or these pieces and some knowledge. Books like Trojan Horse Project, The Green Neck and similar works could provide addition resource. - just food for thought.

  • Sergio asks: Can be use with color match?

    • 1. Vanishing Inc. Magic responds: Unfortunately, this cannot be used with color match.
  • Gary asks: How do the dice fit inside and are they easy enough to take the dice out to charge? Do they rattle as stated elsewhere?

    • 1. Jason answers: I cut the finger tips of latex gloves. Put the dice in the tip, load it inside the chess piece and it works really well!!
