Printed as a distressed red backed Phoenix Deck, locking worn, but with that new card feel! Just imagine that you can get your hands on a deck that was used by the masters of magic in the 20s of the last century, past over to you by a lucky coincidence.
The best about this deck is the fact that it looks so innocently old and worn, that nobody will expect that you have a brandnew -marked- deck in your hands.
It fits well into storytelling, into the whole range of Phoenix Decks and is also available as a Double Decker.
Comes with two Jokers, a blank face card as well as a double backer card.
Phoenix decks in general are fantastic and these are just as good. They have the one-way marking and they are aged in an appropriate way. They have a great appearance of an old deck one that you could use but it doesn’t look to old. I find some of the other old decks that are from the 1800s they look like they been through hell and back but yet when you handle them they have a nice smooth surfaces and feel like a brand new deck it just doesn’t make sense. The vaudeville deck looks aged enough to justify the ability to still have nice handling. It’s a perfect match they look good not too old where it would question people on why they handle well. That’s why I believe these are the answer and the perfect solution to that problem. The only bad thing that I would have to say about that deck is that the markings on it are done like the old-style Phoenix Mark deck just on the top right where the new Phoenix Mark deck is on the top right and left . And the only reason I bring that up is I’m left-handed so spreading the cards I can’t see the markings. All in all I am very happy that I bought them.
