Be Prepared for Any Situation with Dynamic Cues

Booker asked you to do 10 extra minutes at the last minute? Someone drops a glass in the middle of a show? Dynamic Cues have you covered.

This special feature within Magic Cue allows you to prepare single tracks, or groups of tracks, that can be inserted anywhere in your show on‑the‑fly with a push of a button.

Dynamic Cues can even be paired to a separate remote that can be left next to an extra routine in your case. If you end up needing that routine, just push the button as you grab the props and all the cues will be automatically inserted.

Someone breaks a glass during your show? With one click, you can also trigger a sound effect or image that plays into the funny moment.

Once the Dynamic Cue is complete, the app will automatically transition back into your normal show right where you left off.

Magic Cue enables a level of spontaneity not found in other show control solutions. You'll always be prepared for any situation.

Community questions about Magic Cue

Have a question about this product? It's possible others do too. Ask here and other Vanishing Inc. Magic customers will be able to respond with assistance! Alternatively, email us and we can help too.

  • Jay asks: Will it import shows from iQ Pro? I have dozens of routines set up and I'd hate to have to build them all again from scratch.

    • 1. Joshua Riley (creator) responds: This is the plan to add support for this, it should in theory be possible already
    • 2. Adam answers: I’ve just tested it and it works. You can export any show from iQ Pro and import it directly to Magic Cue. Very easy to do and seamless.
  • Brian asks: Is this only compatible with Apple devices? I'm a PC/android guy.

    • 1. Joshua Riley (creator) responds: Unfortunately this is for iPhone only
  • Raul (Jay) asks: Does it come with preset instrumental music tracks?

    • 1. Joshua Riley (creator) responds: We have quite a few demo tracks and video files that could be used for testing, I'm sure we can work out a way of distributing them to all Magic Cue users.
  • Mark asks: Can it use your Apple Music tacks or do you need to export them in different formats?

    • 1. Joshua Riley (creator) responds: You need to export them to .mp3 or .wav files and save them into your files app
  • Rafael asks: Is there a "hands-free" feature? I am a magician, so I need both my hands for the effects I perform ;)

    • 1. Jay answers: I don't run mine completely hands free, but you can easily set a delay for any cue. So if you want something to happen when you ribbon spread a deck, for example, put a few seconds delay on it (will depend on exactly what you're doing), hit the button (mine hangs right inside the edge of my jacket where my hand naturally hangs), and then pick up the cards and spread them -- and the cue triggers while your hands are still up near the cards. I do that with a mentalism reveal -- hit the button while I'm talking, grab the card I wrote my prediction on, and spin it towards the audience as a sound effect takes place at the right moment. (Full disclosure: I'm using the iQ Pro version of this app, but I know the delays acts the same on both.)
    • 2. Joshua Riley (creator) responds: You could in theory have it setup fully with delays if you time your show and it would run each cue one after each other automatically but otherwise it uses buttons to trigger, but you could add delays for individual cues as well.

  • Brian asks: Can I use a GoPro for live video or does it have to be an iPhone?

    • 1. Joshua Riley (creator) responds: If you use an iPad you can connect to external cameras via a HDMI capture card so as long as the GoPro supports HDMI or can convert to HDMI signal then it should be possible.
  • Christopher asks: Do you have any plans for an Android version?

    • 1. Vanishing Inc. Magic responds: At the moment this is just available for IPhone but this could change in the future
  • Abin asks: does the audio control supports a TALK VOLUME feature( a music fades out to a predetermined volume on press of trigger button and fades in back to orginal volume on the next trigger of the same button) - used for speech o top of a sound track. does this app supports other Bluetooth remotes as well as OTG remotes

    • 1. Joshua Riley (creator) responds: This is possible, there is a transition cue called "Volume" which can alter the volume of any currently playing track. It supports any keyboard remote that triggers keyboard keys as Magic Cue is set up to listen to any keyboard key, you can then configure that in the button settings within the app.
  • Abin asks: can you explain about the wireless setup, what all hardware i required to stream live camera video wirelessly.

    • 1. Joshua Riley (creator) responds: There's a few options available, you can use an Apple TV which can work in a few environments or you can use a HDMI transmitter like any of the Hollylands equipment, this will take a little bit of research to determine what's best for your working environment as well as your budget, it's definitely possible but we'd recommend a Hollylands because it's built on military grade transmission technology and it's a bit more robust than an Apple TV.
  • Grayson asks: Will this work with apple ipad pro.

    • 1. Joshua Riley (creator) responds: Yes, it works with both iPhone & iPads, I have it on my iPad as well.
  • Michael asks: Does it have OCS capabilities!

    • 1. Lieven answers: This system looks great, but I'm not a computer wizard, so there are a lot of questions. I've been using AudioApe for many years now, MagicCue would be a great addition. Is it possible to make a scheme with all the connections and the needed hardware? Would it be possible to give a 1 or 2 week trial? That gives us as customers some space to tryout some things and decide wether it suits my presentations? Thank you.
