He's removed any unnecessary details and even included some unseen publisher notes from the original books that didn't come to his attention until after they had been published. Additionally, Richard has updated the material to reflect modern times and props based on how he performs them today.
For the original books, Richard had actually drawn all the illustrations. However, the publisher ultimately decided to use professional artists to illustrate the book. This always bothered Richard because he felt some moves came across a bit more confusing than they needed to be. So, with the help of friend and artist Shaun Robison, Classic Quintet has been completely re-illustrated under Richard's guidance to make learning easier than ever.
