When I saw that O. Meech has written another book I had to see what kind of wonderful gems are in the new one. A few years ago I did receive his "The Plot Twists" and "The Plot Thickens" both were in the kindness since "quirky". Both were fun reads and very glad I did get them. Now he has a book that is a hard back not only will I be able to learn card tricks but this book has a wonderful set of effects that are not card tricks. One trick that did catch my eye was one called "Drowning In Wallets" The pattern of the book is Inspiration, Plot, Requirements, Preparation, and Method. Most of the effects listed are set up this way to help with the magic gems in this book. "Drowning In Wallets" is basically a nest of type effect where you can use many wallets as you want to reveille, produce, and even some mentalism in this routine. One great asset that O. Meech has provided is giving credit where credit is due. The book is provided with tons of credits and if you want you can do your research. The price on this is a perfect price for the material you will get. A wonderful book to help any magician that is stuck looking for unique and different material.

  • Nevio asks: How much card stuff is there in this book? I'm asking because I don't perform any card stuff, and even though the description looks really cool, I don't want to accidentally buy a book which contains 90% card tricks. :)

    • 1. Oliver Meech (creator) responds: Hi Nevio, the tricks mostly use cards, with a few exceptions. Looking now, 17 of the 19 tricks use cards (some just a deck, others more offbeat, with stapling / tearing / etc.), 1 of these uses cards but quite peripherally, and the other 2 are quite different. The 11 ideas use more of a range of objects, from cards to large pads and, in one case, even small pots of gravy/custard. The ideas are a bit looser that the tricks, more like jumping off points for creativity, with new takes on existing tricks, or offbeat plots. Hope that helps.
