Magic download (video) by Kyle Purnell (9.00 - normally $18.00)

“Blank Inside” is going to fool you. Kyle Purnell has created a trick which is devilishly clever and easy to do.

You begin by asking the spectator to name a number - twenty-five for example. That number becomes your time limit as you frantically begin cutting the deck and removing cards, one at a time, within twenty-five seconds.

With just a second to spare, you drop the deck to the table, announcing that you’re done. But then you realise that you never actually explained what your aim was.

The named number - twenty-five - was, in fact, your target. Turning over the cards one at a time, you reveal that they add up to twenty-five. But that’s not it...

You then explain that the trick actually only works with one number. Twenty-five.

As you turn over the rest of the deck, you’ll get gasps as you show that every single card is blank! It’s a stunning ending that will baffle even the most discerning audience members!

NOTE: Blank deck not included.

Running time: 19 minutes 43 seconds

Includes video and PDF instructions.

Kyle said he wanted a Bluzzard type effect with no gaff cards, deck switches, magicians choice, etc. He succeeded exceptionally. Of all the blank card ending tricks , this is the cleanest and makes sense and has lots of presentation potential. It’s also a lot cheaper than the gimmicked decks and easier to do without deck switches etc. An intelligent trick that as Daryl would say, ends clean and everything can be examined.

I love this trick. Easily worth buying a blank deck for. The payoff is worth it.

This is one of my favorite openers. With spectators being so used to the find a card plot this is a major curveball. They have no idea what to expect and their expectations are blown out of the water. I couldn’t recommend this trick enough. For me it’s a must buy.

This trick is one of my favorite things I've learned recently. The method is super clever, super simple, and easy to execute. I was worried about hard math or weird sleights, but this effect is so straightforward and easy. I love it.

An easy, yet baffling, trick that you can do relatively easily after watching the video. Clever thinking that can also be used with other card effects. And since you are using blank cards, its not your normal card trick. Video instruction is very clear. Worth a download. I think you will like it.

An amazing trick that I admit I don't utilize as much as I should! The method is clever and can be easily done with a bit of practice (the hardest part for me was trying to keep patter going while doing the minimal amount of mental math involved). I've gotten a strong reaction doing this routine, including complete astonishment from an engineer in my audience (who could tell me exactly how I did everything else in my show). It's very clever and it's a joy to watch and perform.

This is low-intermediate difficulty trick. Completely recommended, very powerful and visual for the public. If in your routine you have a section for tricks with blank cards, it must surely be there!

Easy to perform with a surprising result. It's an amusing trick requiring moderate skill level relying more on communication with the audience.

This is a good trick. Obviously you always have to decide how to fit a trick that ends with a blank deck into a routine. But this ends clean and is very practical.

Great trick right here. I only started getting into magic recently, and if I can perform this trick, so can anyone. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a reason to practise some magicians cuts etc. This also leaves room for magicians to expand and add lots of personal touch to the routine, would highly recommend for the price

With many tricks, I think to myself, "Why didn't I think of this?" But not here. This is such a clever method that I would have never come up with this myself. I will perform this as often as possible. It is very clever!

  • Dylan asks: Clean start? Clean finish?

    • 1. Vanishing Inc. Magic responds: The best way I can answer that without giving too much away is that you start clean, and end clean after the smallest of clean ups.
  • David asks: How technical is this to do? easy, moderate, difficult???

    • 1. Vanishing Inc. Magic responds: I would put this in the intermediate skillset.
  • Steven asks: Does this require doing anything special to the cards? Rough/smooth/double stick tape? Or are the cards not gimmicked.

    • 1. Vanishing Inc. Magic responds: The cards are not gimmicked.
  • Peloton FAO Kris Rubens Only to open asks: Can this be done table hopping? Dose this involved lapping?

    • 1. Kyle Purnell (creator) responds: Hey Kris, Kyle here! Great question. I briefly go over multiple methods to accomplish what needs to happen in the explanation. I will tell you, I do this table hopping ALL THE TIME :) (although with a slightly different handling)
  • Michael asks: Is it a freely selected number, and can the number change from one performance to another?

    • 1. Kyle Purnell (creator) responds: Hey Michael! Great question :) literally any number can be named under 30, and yes, it's different every time you perform. In the PDF, I briefly go over how you could tweak the method so that any number under 60 could be named, but honestly i don't think it's needed.
  • George asks: Is there math calculations that have to be done quickly?

    • 1. Kyle Purnell (creator) responds: Hi George! Kyle here. Great question. Yes there is some math involved... But as anyone would tell you, I'm literally terrible at mental math, but i can do this and do it confidently...so if that's the case, then there's hope for anyone :)
  • Rick asks: What happens if they say "5" (or less) as their number ? You would have to deal yourself 5 Aces, if that was the case

    • 1. Kyle Purnell (creator) responds: Hey Rick, Kyle here! Thanks for your question :) while it's a little difficult to answer without disclosing methodology publicly, I will say it absolutely works with any number they name, even under 5. Some numbers are more 'theatrical' than others, and therefore more preferable IMO, BUT i have absolutely gotten just as great reactions when lower numbers were named :)
    • 2. Lionel answers: Your questions assumes that 5 cards have to be dealt. Why not 2 cards consisting of a 3 and a 2 or 3 cards consisting of 3 aces and a 2 etc.
  • Norm asks: how much math is required?

    • 1. David Matkin answers: See no 7 above.

  • Steve asks: I'm only moderately good at palming while standing; do I have to be seated in order to clean up, well, cleanly?

    • 1. Kyle Purnell (creator) responds: Absolutely no palming necessary :)
    • 2. Vanishing Inc. Magic responds: The handling that is taught could easily be done standing.
    • 1. Kyle Purnell (creator) responds: Absolutely no palming necessary :)
    • 3. MADGAR answers: if palming needed , it's not for me . thank you for clarifying.
  • Eddie asks: Can any blank deck be used?

    • 1. SGKYDUYEN answers: Any blank deck will work for you ;)
    • 2. Craig answers: It doesn’t even have to be done with a blank deck…you could use a deck with a different colored back.

  • Chuck asks: I have failing eyesight. Would this effect my ability to do Blank Inside? Thank you.

    • 1. Vanishing Inc. Magic responds: You should be just fine to do it.
  • Jeffrey S asks: I ordered it but don't see blank decks for sale on you site, except the jumbo bicycle one. As I understand it, the trick requires a blank deck and doesn't come with it, so where to buy?

    • 1. Vanishing Inc. Magic responds: If you search "Blank Face Bicycle Cards" they will come up.
  • Apurva asks: Hi: 1. Can this be done standing up, so does the minor cleanup required you to be seated 2. Do you have to use blank cards or some other cards (like a deck of jokers, which are less "gimmicky") can be used? Thanks!

    • 1. Vanishing Inc. Magic responds: He teaches a stand-up method. You can use any cards other than blank cards.
  • rob asks: Are there still 52 cards at the end of the trick? I want to smash this one and another one together. Thanks!

    • 1. Vanishing Inc. Magic responds: There can be, yes.
