Our customers RAVE about this "Memory Arts" series and its concept. Basically, this ebook is written by two memory experts, and they have found a way, with a combination of silly visuals and proven techniques, to assist in the memorization of a deck of cards. This edition is SPECIFICALLY designed to help you learn Woody Aragon's Memorandum Stack in less than two hours. That's right! After just two hours, you'll be able to recite the cards in order, or instantly know what card corresponds to what stack number.

The product itself is an ebook with gorgeous paintings that tell an outrageous and, thankfully, unforgettable story. By reading the story, you will AUTOMATICALLY memorize The Memorandum Stack. How cool is that?

Using a time-tested memory technique, you will absorb a story so sensational and outrageous that you will barely notice that you are committing an entire pack of cards to memory. As time goes on, the story falls away and you will be left with a fully-memorized pack of cards. You can use this method to learn to memorize a shuffled deck, but its primary purpose is to help you memorize the Memorandum stack QUICKLY.

More on the book:

This groundbreaking book introduces the ancient art of memory and recollection by presenting a Layered Mnemonic Methodology—in GRAPHIC form—that teaches the fundamentals of a trained mind through playing card memorization. In the days of Plato and Aristotle, these systems were part of formal education, and for thousands of years their instruction has been passed down via written word, requiring the reader to translate those words into images.

Recognizing that written letters are natural to none, The Memory Arts bypasses the unnatural for the natural, providing beautifully painted locations designed specifically for memory storage and retrieval. THE MEMORY ARTS provides a methodology so refined even a 6-year-old can learn how to memorize a shuffled deck of cards, a list of over 25 items that can be called back in any order, and countless phone numbers. The principles taught in this book are directly applicable to every area of life, be it business, math, history, shopping lists, speeches and more.

Sarah and David Trustman caught the mnemonics fever several years ago. After extensively studying the art of memory and its use of vivid imagery, they realized that the best way to teach the mnemonic arts is not through words, but rather through pictures. Luckily, David is an artist and comic book creator, so they got to work and created the first ever graphic novel on card memorization! "The Memory Arts" is taught predominantly through vividly painted watercolor images specifically designed for recollection. The book explores their new take on card memorization, enabling the reader to memorize a shuffled deck with little effort.

'The Memory Arts' by Sarah and David Trustman a fantastic read. It is indeed one of the best books on memory and beyond. The book is a great tool to better your skills and talents. I highly recommend it.Uri Geller
The memory arts book is the easiest and fastest way to learn mnemonica! Flash cards, songs, and rote memory weren't sticking. In one day I read this book and learned the whole stack. Makes me feel foolish wasting all that time trying to learn it any other way.Daryl Williams

Love it!! I'm very lazy and it's the main reason why I've never memorized a deck but in a little under 2 hours, I'm able to recall every card in this stack. I just couldn't believe it So I grabbed a deck and arranged it from memory with no problem. I highly recommend this book to any one that hasn't memorized a stack. Read through the book once and you'll have it!! Also it teaches you how to memorize other things like shopping lists and phone numbers. It's worth every penny.

As a memorandum stack user, I wanted to find a way to be more familiar with the deck. I already owned the other Memory Arts book but wanted to specifically look at the memorandum stack. It did exactly as promised and of course I grew more confident with the stack.

While the booklet intends to help you memorize the stack, I do think it's important to use the outline offered in Woody's book (which incorporates Juan's techniques). So I don't think the book is best-used as a stand-alone way to memorize (although it could be done) but is benefitted by combining the methods. This is important for knowing (quickly) the stack number, cards before and after etc.

Either way it's a solid adjunct!

I was very intrigued by this book, since I have Aragon's The Show, and I wanted to put this book to the test. In terms of learning the stack with speed, it did not disappoint. However, this is NOT a replacement for traditional mnemonic work. The main problem with this method is that in order to connect a card (ex. 10 of Spades) to its numerical position in the deck (ex. position 17), you have to recall the image, location, and then do math to create that path that tells you the 10 of Spades is at position 17 in the deck, or vice versa. This takes far too long to be practical in a working environment. So while I definitely recommend getting this series of books to learn the stack itself, I also recommend that you use the more traditional ways to solidify every card of the stack in its correct position in your mind.
