One of the best coin gaffs I own (at any price point).I have the Eisenhower dollar version and the TUC part nests beautifully (could almost pass a casual inspection by a volunteer, though I'd never risk it).I agree with other reviewers that the expanded shell should have a smaller shim/ TUC could have a weaker magnet, so that it would un-nest in performance more easily. Though you can place the shell on the opposite side, it makes the coin double faced, which is not ideal. All in all, a very well machined gaff with a huge number of applications.
Beautifully crafted. Very happy to have picked this effect!
Great product! So much possibilities with this set. The outer shell on mine is expanded and fits over regular Ike Dollars. So you could use it for all your traditional expanded shell routines. I've seen criticism about the outer shell being held to strong with the magnet. While that is true, you can start your routine with the outer shell on the reverse side of the set, which would allow you to easily separate. And when finishing/ending routine, nest it the normal way for a more secure set. I can toss the coin when its in either configuration. If I had to nit-pick, it would be that each layer has a different date on it. (1971,1972 and 1978). So glad I decided to get the dollar. Although I may purchase the half dollar also.
This is such a great gimmicked coin. Coins across is effortless with it. 100% recommended. Also comes with a link to many routines with this gimmick. Even if tou do not use the gimmick every day afterwards you will end up with a lot of knowledge thanks to the videos, they are worth the price of the gimmick. You will not regresa getting this.
Really well made and lots of possibilities. Take off the “triple” element and you have something even more versatile and fantastically hidden, which will replace one of my other gimmicks as an everyday carry. Lovely coin
After using a Triple Threat for years, I was a little hesitant to try the TUC until I learned that it has magnets to keep it together - which is great when you need to flip it in the air or spin it on a table top as a single unit - this can't be reliably done with the Triple Threat. There are also a lot of additional, cool things I can do with this TUC. I really love it and can use it for a lot of tricks during the coin magic segment in my act. The quality of this gimmick easily justifies the cost IMHO. I purchased the half dollar version, but I plan to also purchase the dollar coin version.
Type Quarter size. While an excellent gimmick in conception, the TUC does not seem to scale down well. I have handled the dollar sized in the pasr and was quite impressed. The quarter though suffers from several problems. The thinest part is far too thin and the weight of all the pieces are so light that you have to practically seperate them completely to keep them from snapping back into assembled form.If you want to add this ingenious tool to your kit then do not hesitate to do so, but don't order anything smaller than a half dollar.
I'm putting my review in the middle, because I bought the quarter dollar size and wow does it suck. The whole unit "clicks" when moved around and the bottom most "coin" is as thin as paper! It is so blatantly obvious that it's not a quarter. However, the actual gimmick itself is super clever, and I do think that if I would have gotten a half dollar or dollar size, it would remedy my issues that I have with it.

Christopher asks: How is the coverage on these coins? Is the outermost shell shimmed?
Jim asks: I have one of the original Walking Liberty silver Triple TUC (D0190) sets. My problem is (and has been) that the 'covering' shell (the one that makes it "Triple," I guess) is VERY tight around the internal shell - and unless I START with those two shells apart, I almost always have to do a 'heavy engineering' removal of one (the external) shell from the other (internal) shell. Did I just get a defective set? or a "too tight" external shell? I cannot be in any way 'smooth' if if involves separating those two pieces in the midst of a trick. I know theser things can be subjective - but a LOT of instructional time is devoted to the separation of the first two pieces - but NOTHING on the separation of one shell from another. Can anyone help me with this?
