An stunning double prediction that packs small and plays for audiences of all sizes.
You start by inviting everyone to take a trip down memory lane to simpler times in their life. A time back when they were in early elementary school.
An envelope is placed in plain view as you instruct one audience member to imagine a scenario where they are a very young student and the teacher asks them a question in front of the class. A very simple math question: 2+2 = ?
Yet, they're so nervous with their classmates watching that they accidentally write down a wrong number. A two digit number. As you say this, you hand them a pad and pen to write down whatever that number is. The page is then torn out and kept.
You then move on to another audience member and reminisce about making drawings on a blackboard. A pad filed with various drawings is shown and the helper chooses one without telling anyone. They imagine themselves drawing this image with chalk.
Attention is then drawn to the envelope, which you pick up as you ask the helpers to say their number and drawing out loud for the first time. Let's say, for example, they say "43" and "a boat". A slate is then removed from the envelope to show that it has written on it "2+2=43" and a big drawing of a boat.
The envelope stays in plain sight and the chosen number is completely free. They'll be floored by this prediction!
