Deck of cards by David Penn and Marc Spelmann (34.95)

In stock.

A chosen card vanishes from the deck and reappears wherever you’d like thanks to this ingenious and incredibly easy to use gaffed deck.

"The Covenant Deck” is a masterful creation from David Penn in collaboration with Marc Spelmann. It allows you to perform an insanely fair vanish and revelation of a card under impossible conditions.

You spread through the deck showing a flurry of different cards. The deck is turned over and they peek at a card, either by cracking open the deck or pulling one from a face-down spread (a genius contribution from Marc Spellman). You don't even need to be in the room when they choose it. Yet, you are still able to confirm you know their card in the craziest way possible— spreading the deck face-up and having them confirm that their card has vanished from the deck!

Here’s the best part. You can then make that card appear anywhere you want: in your pocket, under a table cloth, inside a lemon, or wherever you’d like. It all comes down to what suits your performance style best.

Since up to four cards can be forced, you can also perform one of the most devastating multiple selection routines you’ll ever see. Not only do you divine all the cards, but they also vanish from the deck. There’s even a remarkable tossed-out deck style routine where you name three of the cards before making the fourth vanish and re-appear in your pocket.

This special gimmicked deck printed by USPCC allows you to achieve this hands-off miracle with total ease. It does all the heavy lifting for you, allowing you to focus on giving your audience a truly magical experience.

  • No rough and smooth
  • No long and short
  • No sticky stuff

“The Covenant Deck” is very easy and very strong. There are a ton of possible magic and mentalism applications, all of which are explored in the one-hour detailed tutorial from David and Marc that is included with every deck.

Experienced magicians may watch the trailer and think they recognise what is going on here. However, this is actually a subtle, but wickedly clever, build on something that was created in 1908. The variety of inventive improvements combined with a mini-masterclass tutorial make “The Covenant Deck” a unique powerhouse. You can handle it more openly and freely than other similar decks.

Force. Divine. Vanish. Grab “The Covenant Deck” today!

Community questions about The Covenant Deck

Have a question about this product? It's possible others do too. Ask here and other Vanishing Inc. Magic customers will be able to respond with assistance! Alternatively, email us and we can help too.

  • Gene asks: I assume that the spectator must follow strict procedure and not completely remove a “random” card from a face down spread to peek and then replace, but rather partially lift a card, keeping it on table, to gather the peek (as shown in video). Is this correct?

    • 1. Vanishing Inc. Magic responds: Correct. The deck can also be "cracked open" a la Tossed Out Deck as I understand it.
  • Matthew asks: Can the chosen card be signed?

    • 1. Vanishing Inc. Magic responds: They cannot
  • Jeff asks: Do you have to work on a table top? Can they only peek at the card?

    • 1. Vanishing Inc. Magic responds: You can do this in your hands but they must peek at a card.
  • Mark asks: May the deck be used as an ordinary deck for other tricks?

    • 1. Vanishing Inc. Magic responds: It cannot
  • Mark asks: May the deck be used as an ordinary deck for other tricks?.. or does it at least look like a typical bicycle deck that I can substitute out, so an audience does not recognize it as a “One trick” deck

    • 1. Vanishing Inc. Magic responds: It is a "one trick" deck
  • Andre asks: Is it a similar principle then in the mastermind deck ? Thanks

    • 1. Vanishing Inc. Magic responds: Similar. But there is a clever wrinkle on it that allows four cards to be "selected".
  • Laura Bautista asks: Is it always the same forced card? Can it be repeated to the same espectator?

    • 1. Vanishing Inc. Magic responds: Four cards can be forced.
  • Eric asks: Is it an area of 4 possible outcomes, so the card under the table cloth (as shown in the video) is not always the right place where it appears?

    • George asks: How is this different from David Penn's 52 to 1 deck?

      • 1. Vanishing Inc. Magic responds: It's a different plot and method.
    • jungjoo asks: Can I make the card appear out of my spectator's pocket?

      • 1. Vanishing Inc. Magic responds: If you adept at put-pocketing, then yes, that is certainly an option.
    • Chris asks: This sounds very similar to Max Maven's Pocket Nightmare. Is there an advantage to this effect that is not in Max's? What are the trade offs?

      • 1. Vanishing Inc. Magic responds: You can have more than one selection and the cards can end up anywhere. The spectators cannot handle the deck as much as Max's deck.
    • Michael asks: How much slight of hand is necessary. Would this be good for a beginner.

      • 1. Vanishing Inc. Magic responds: This special gimmicked deck printed by USPCC allows you to achieve this hands-off miracle with total ease. It does all the heavy lifting for you, allowing you to focus on giving your audience a truly magical experience.
