It turns out my coin skills are lacking in a big way so I’m only commenting on the product itself and not the presentations.

I have loved Chinese coins for a long time. I think most are beautiful and have good weight and quality to them. Let me rephrase that, the good ones have a good weight and quality to them. There are knockoffs but even those can be used for good magic. I prefer the half dollar sized coins and am happy for this purchase.

I am not sure what these coins are made of but i am assuming it's not brass as the coins show signs of rust. This is particularly evident from the insides of both shells that are showing rust spots. I tried to clean this with metal polish but the coins don't seem to respond to the metal polish as most brass coins do. Also the shells and the coins dont quite look the same. The shells have darker parts to them. The shells do fit the coins really well and the coins aesthetically do look quite nice. Just not sure about the rust and how it will hold up over time...
