A project 4 years in the making, 5th Kingdom Prototype Luxury Playing Cards are an extremely collectable deck of cards exploring the symbolic meaning of playing card suits.
For centuries, the suits in a deck of cards have depicted the kings, queens and warriors of various kingdoms battling each other—each one with its own unique culture, nature, legends and heroic feats.
Russian designer Maria Fedoseeva builds upon her own personal emotions to bring these stories to life with the 5th Kingdom Prototype Luxury Playing Cards. The primeval world of African culture is depicted on the Spades, the intriguingly colorful tales of lovely princesses and bold warriors in India on the Hearts, the grim civilization of medieval Europe on the Clubs and the playfulness and mythicism of fairy-tale Japan on the Diamonds.
5th Kingdom Prototype Luxury Playing Cards are a limited edition release printed by MPC on casino-grade European card stock with a sleek ivory finish. Only 500 decks are available and each one includes a bonus blank-facer.
