Elegant. Streamlined. Timeless.

The Feather Deck celebrates the awe-inspiring beauty of the natural world, and reminds us of the inner-beauty found in the simplest of objects: a bird's feather.

The Feather Deck is the result of nine months of collaborative work between master-illustrator Travis DeMello and our design team at Vanishing Inc. Magic. DeMello is a Brooklyn-based artist who specializes in anatomy drawings. He selected the goldfinch feather, because of its ergonomic, symmetrical shape. The back design may look photographic, but you'll be astonished to know that it is ENTIRELY hand-drawn: every detail, every tiny bristle of the feather...rendered by hand.

The back of every card has been embossed with gold foil in the subtlest of ways, so when the feather backs catch the light just so, they glisten. The crushed-stock finish from Cartamundi is, in our estimation, the very softest, supplest playing card in the world. These cards handle better than anything we've ever released.

The box may be the most resplendent part of The Feather Deck. Starkly embossed with foil and with additional artwork by Travis DeMello, they are a fitting, luxurious way to transport your Feather deck.

Available in two designs: The Gold Edition boasts a luxurious deep purple box and a pastel orange back design. The Teal Edition comes in a navy blue box and features an eye-catching teal color scheme.

This is my favorite deck. Cartamundi makes the best cards IMO. Love, love, love these!!!

Freaking awesome cards. Buttery smooth, gorgeous design, could not be happier. The gold on the back glistens. For $12 I believe these are the best cards you can get. Heck, for any price these are fantastic.

I opened a box of these and immediately ordered more... and that is very unusual of me to do! But these cards just felt so different and nice and looked so pretty and they match my vibe super well! I love birds! I didn't buy the gold edition, because the teal is just so good. It has the same vibe as the illustrations in my bird guides that I collect.

I would absolutely love if these cards continued as a series. Imagine all the cool birds you could have! If there are ever any future editions, here's what I'd like to see. A double backer would be great if possible (if you can put gold foil on both sides); I don't personally have much use for blank cards. While I actually quite like the randomly colored pips, I think the ace of clubs should have a similar treatment to the ace of diamonds. The ace of diamonds just stands out in a weird way because it is the only one with a normal color pip, and for certain effects I do, it kinda gets in the way. Also, just put the joker text where the indexes normally are. It looks neat by itself, but does make finding the jokers slightly less convenient.

Anyway, I'm a big big fan of these cards.

What a beautiful deck of cards! They are gorgeous, specially the gold foil that brightens when the light hit the cards. They handle very well, as the quality of the cards is very good. Both colors are nice, and some of the pips are coloured different, so it gives them a modern look.

I just used these at a close up magic gig. Damn! They handle like butter, they don't bend or crimp, and they look great. Screw collecting these cards, use them in your magic...you won't regret it. Top changes are godly with these.

The cards are beautiful and more importantly handle great. I have the teal color and they look awesome

Beautiful cards, soft and seemingly feather-light. I'm a bird lover and rediscovering my magic hobby after years away. I was always so clunky with cards so I wanted to get some decks that handle beautifully, and relearn shuffles and such from scratch. I got the gold and the teal decks and they are just perfect. Make more bird decks please! Cerulian Warbler is just begging to be included...

They look absolutely stunning and they handle sublimely. I've bought a couple but I'll be adding more to my collection. One of the best-looking decks out there IMHO, they're almost too inexpensive to be treated with the reverence they deserve. Don't hesitate. Buy now before they're gone!

I'm really impressed with the quality of this deck. I had not touched a deck produced by Cartamundi in at least 20 years and didn't know what to expect. This far exceeded my expectations: no break in needed, cards are very supple, the texture is very pleasing. The box and card backs are beautiful.
Highly recommended!

The Feather Deck: Goldfinch Edition is arguably Vanishing Inc's best deck of playing cards yet. It makes a striking impression from the moment you first set your eyes on the tuck box, and exudes elegance and sophistication. The gold foil accents on the back of the cards adds a real sense of luxury and style, and the lightweight feel and smooth handling of the thin card-stock ensures performance to match the visual beauty. Both the Teal and the Gold versions are stunning.

Great quality of the cards, and I really love the design. It can be used to perform in day-to-day life, but also is good as a deck for card collectors. Highly recommend it. If you are wondering about buying it, don't think more, just do it.

I'm floored. I bought these because they're just gorgeous. I was not prepared to handle these cards—they are, without a doubt, the greatest, softest cards I've ever handled. That's why I'm posting this review, not just because you should support the artist and buy this gorgeous deck. I am praying that VI (or others) release more on Cartomundi's crushed stock because as far as I'm concerned, I have finally found the perfect playing card stock. I can't stop handling these cards... thank you VI for this incredible release! PLEASE make more decks on this stock!

i tend to gear towards theory 11 with card decks, to each there own, however VINC cards never disapoint, from the boy who cried magic, to mr vogts deck, just very nice. i prob shouldn't give a review persay, i bought both deck teal/gold and by the look of the tuck boxes themselves, i'm not opening them, and ordering another one. but i have no doubt, once that wrapper is popped, and the case is open, there will be no disappointments to be found in there.

Unique and clever deck. The hand drawn features are excellent.

Both the Teal and the Goldfinch editions of the feather decks are truly fantastic with beautiful touches. I particularly like the gold on the backs. It’s hard to choose which I prefer best, so why not get both? I do agree with Cody on the randomly coloured pips. Personally I didn’t like it, so for me it’s the only down side to the deck, but even then it is kind of unique and some spectators may like this. They handle incredibly well and I will most likely be buying a few more if they don’t sell out.

I truly like the deck but one aspect that I have mixed feelings on are the seemingly random off colors of different suite symbols on random cards. For example, the 7 of spades had one gold spade on it, while the 6 and 5 have none. Overall, a simple but unique deck and I love the ace of spades artwork.
