About Jerry’s Nugget Playing Cards...
47 years ago, a legend was born. Jerry’s Nugget Casino in Las Vegas printed what would become one of the most sought after, expensive and collectable deck of cards ever made by the USPCC.
Jerry’s Nugget Playing Cards were designed for live table use but, for some unknown reason, the casino chose to not let people gamble with them and instead left them in a storage unit somewhere in Las Vegas.
Flash forward a decade and the iconic playing cards resurfaced as Jerry’s Nugget Casino started selling them as souvenirs in their gift shop for just $2 each. This is how Lee Asher happened upon them and noticed they were special. He quickly began telling people how amazing Jerry’s Nugget Playing Cards were and, soon after, a brick of these collectable playing cards cost more than a second-hand car.
By the late 90s, the Jerry’s Nugget Playing Cards had completely sold out. None were available, anywhere. But still, people clamoured for them. They became the single most desired deck of cards ever created.
Of course, something so lucrative will eventually get pirated and, sure enough, Ebay was soon awash with fakes. This drove Lee Asher to get in touch with Expert Playing Card Company and work with them to gain permission (and a license) to print the cards again.
After 3 years of tense negotiations, it has finally happened. The new Jerry’s Nugget Playing Cards are now available in both this functional Modern Feel and an exclusive collector’s edition Vintage Feel.
