This is Martin Lewis's variation of Robert Harbin's "Card in Bottle" that has been built around an incredible "My Friend Dai Vernon" theme.

Martin Lewis's used his father Eric Lewis's relationship with Robert Harbin—the duo were best friends—to secure the rights for the "Card in Bottle" effect using flat bottles and a set of nested boxes. At his lectures, Martin would perform this effect with a patter evolving around his old friend Dai Vernon, using a cigar besides the bottles as a convincing prop.

Now you can get everything you need to perform this stunning stage effect in one complete package.

"Dai Vernon's Favorite Things" by Martin Lewis Comes With:

  • Set of nested boxes made from real wood (approx 9in x 6in x 2in outer box | 8in x 5in x 1.25in inner box)
  • Flat plastic bottles (no label, transparent)
  • 1 Gimmicked cigar
  • 1 Servante tablecloth
  • Labels to put on box if desired
  • Making Magic II DVD (with full presentation and instruction)
  • Printed instructions
  • DIY zen envelopes with instructions (for card vanish)

  • Todd asks: What does the Gimmicked Cigar do?

    • 1. Vanishing Inc. Magic responds: Please email us at wizards@vanishingincmagic.com to discuss this.
  • Ron asks: I'm confused, it appears that the setup to this video is missing and the video starts halfway thru the trick...we don't see the envelope part, which seems misleading if you want us to spend 290 bucks on a trick we don't fully see what happens...please help?

    • 1. Vanishing Inc. Magic responds: We apologize for this. The routine is Martin's take on the Harbin card in bottle.
