A classic magic trick ready to go right into your stage and parlor magic or children's magic show.

The vanishing milk trick / disappearing milk trick is one magic trick that every magician should learn. It's super easy to do and is one of the best easy magic tricks for beginners.

The magician makes a paper cone from a sheet of newspaper. They then pour milk from a transparent jug into the cone. The audience clearly sees the level of milk in the jug decreasing as it's being poured. Once you're done pouring, the jug has noticeably less milk.

A magical pass is made over the cone. It is then unrolled to show that the milk has completely vanished.

You receive the jumbo milk jug and instructions. It's made out of durable plastic to last you countless performances.

Dimensions: The jug is 22cm high, and the diameter of the mouth is 12cm.

  • Joey asks: Can this be used with just water?

    • 1. Colin answers: It can be, but it won't be as visible for the audience, as milk is.
    • 2. David answers: The liquid really needs to be opaque, not only for visibility of the liquid , but also to conceal something. Milk has been a popular choice because it has the right visibility and opacity, but don't use real milk because it can stain and discolor the pitcher. Use a non-dairy "milk" like almond milk or soy milk or the usual milk substitute (Milk-Tex) . You can just as well use any opaque liquid, such a tomato juice or orange juice (use an orange drink like Sunny-D mixed with a bit of non-dairy creamer to increase it's opacity , or add appropriate food coloring to "Milk-Tex" to have a "blueberry smoothie" or "strawberry smoothie"). This is one of the better milk pitcher designs , because it allows you to pour out what appears to be about 7/8ths of the amount of liquid in the pitcher, whereas many of these pitchers appear as if you've only poured out about 2/3rds of the liquid.

  • Andy asks: Can I please check the dimensions you give are correct, that it is 13cm tall, which would make it much shorter than the jumbo pitchers I currently own. Many thanks.

    • 1. Vanishing Inc. Magic responds: The jug is 22cm high, and the diameter of the mouth is 12cm.
