The Underground Secret of Top Magicians

World-famous magicians, like Dan White on The Tonight Show, as well as Lu Chen, Charming Choi, Henry Harrius, and many others have been using “Sparkling” in their high-end shows and private events for years. Now, this underground secret is being made available to magicians around the world.

Elegant, Visual, & Breathtaking

There is no better way to kick-off a performance. Imagine having the host of your party place a champagne bottle in the middle of a table. Then, without you ever needing to touch the bottle, you make the champagne cork pop with the power of your mind. You can even have the audience work together to create the mind power needed to make it visually burst off the bottle.

The effect is simple, direct and powerful. It's a wonderful moment that never fails to take their breath away. You won't find a more commercial champagne effect, or really a more commercial opener in general, anywhere else.

Perfectly Engineered Excellence

The workings of “Sparkling+” are as beautiful as the effect itself. It avoids the countless problems plaguing similar routines. There is no chemistry required, nor are there any awkward time delays. James's professionally-engineered design allows you to activate the moment of magic via remote control whenever you’re ready. Since it has an impressive range of up to 150 feet, you can even have an assistant activate it backstage.

”Sparkling+” FAQ

Does “Sparkling+” use consumables?
The main gimmick for “Sparkling+” is designed to be reused numerous times. Many magicians have used theirs for over two years and its still going strong. However, a few consumable household items are required for your performances. These are cheap, easily-accessible items you likely already have.

Can I use any kind of champagne?
Yes! “Sparkling+” can be used with nearly any standard bottle of champagne, as long as its fresh and unopened (older champagne may not have enough fizz left to create the pop). You will also want to avoid any special bottles that have an irregular-shaped opening.

Can they really drink the champagne?
Yes! They get to drink the champagne as normal. No switches needed. In fact, some magicians argue that the method makes the champagne taste even better.

Important Warranty Information

Your purchase includes a genuine “Sparkling+” unity that is eligible for all warranty and repair services from Hanson Chien Productions. Please be aware that any similar products you see being posted for significantly cheaper prices on Alibaba, AliExpress, Ebay, etc. are knockoffs. They are not only more likely to break, but are not eligible for any of the warranty or repair services.

I was really excited about this trick, and it did not disappoint!
The effect is awesome, the first time I tried it for myself, I giggled like a kids for a good 5min after the *pop*, it's really fun to see and perform, really feels magical!
Sparkle+ keeps all its promises made in the "Key features" section. The setup is pretty easy, although you do need a few minutes, and to be a bit delicate for some steps, but I really think it is worth it. The explanations are very thorough.
All in all, a great trick and my new opener!

Sparkling+ is both visually and audibly wonderful, offering a truly novel and potentially relevant, alternative effect within shows featuring lots of classic routines. It's also a great one-off party opener. The props are well made and the instructions are extremely detailed, with particular attention given to avoiding potential performance issues. (Note, while there's an explanation for using soda bottles in performance, there's no explanation for using soda cans.) The effect is flat out sloppy, which can be fun, but magicians must realistically prepare for champagne bursting everywhere. Know that it takes some time to prepare the soda bottles and the champagne bottle, anywhere between ten minutes and a half an hour depending on your experience doing so. You'll also need to purchase champagne in the right bottle, several bottles of soda, and some other common household material. Finally, you can't be too casual handling the champagne bottle before and during the performance. But, if you want to perform a high impact, still secretive effect that most magician's either won't spring the cash for or don't want to put the time into setting up, this is a very good one...and it's very memorable.

I really like the effect and it is hard hitting. The down side is the prep and the instructions. If you are not careful it can fail and getting through that is difficult. I have got a way to deal with it but it is not that great. If the setup was improved, that would really help.

Community questions about Sparkling+

Have a question about this product? It's possible others do too. Ask here and other Vanishing Inc. Magic customers will be able to respond with assistance! Alternatively, email us and we can help too.

  • Marek asks: How high it can hog. I might have some room environment limitations so I’d rather check if I can do it inside

    • 1. Vanishing Inc. Magic responds: This can be performed inside
  • Buddy asks: Can the cork be given away?

    • 1. Gerard answers: From the video, it appears as if the cork is the essential element and I say no, it would not be given away. Although one could easily do a switch as a giveaway souvenir.
    • 2. Rod answers: Pretty sure it’s the gimmick by the pictures so you’d have to switch it.

  • Mark asks: Is the soda portion of the routine taught, as well?

    • 1. Duvaul answers: Yes

  • Philip asks: I assume that you need to remove the original cork from the bottle, replace it with the "Sparkling+" cork, the rewire and foil the bottle top. Are those the "consumables" you are talking about? I can see saving a wire cage from the original bottle and using that, but the foil is usually destroyed when removing. How easy is it to replace that so that it looks realistic?

    • 1. Vanishing Inc. Magic responds: Please email us at wizards@vanishingincmagic.com and we can discuss this with you
  • Larry asks: Can I set up the trick and then put the bottle with the Sparkling + cork in the refrigerator?

    • 1. Vanishing Inc. Magic responds: It is not recommended to refrigerate the gimmick. It is best to keep it at room temp.
  • Alex asks: How do you go about retrieving the cork afterwards? Doesn’t it look a little strange that you are scrambling around looking for it afterwards? Or if you do it at a wedding, what if a kid grabs it off the floor after? Or anyone for that matter? The cork can’t be examinable and needs to be retrieved

    • 1. Vanishing Inc. Magic responds: If you make the bottle the center of the routine rather than the cork, then the heat will be, and should be, off of the cork. Then there shouldn't be issue retrieving it.
  • Michael asks: Is there a list of US bottles that work well with Sparkling +?

    • 1. Vanishing Inc. Magic responds: There is no list but you are provided with suggestions and a measuring tool to find the right bottle.
  • Mark asks: Why not just have a big snifter half full of different brands of corks? Say collect them after every performance. "And if you so much as lay one finger on THIS cork we're going to play 'christening the ship,' [pick up bottle like a sap] but with your skull.'" Okay maybe not that last part--but the first part makes sense, and it gives people a reason to pick up the cork and hand it back to you. (If a snifter is too much of a pain to lug around, you could always use a Zip-loc bag.)

    • 1. Greg answers: If someone has picked it up offer to sign it for them as a souvenir. Sign "it" and give it back to them.
    • 2. Gary answers: I'm not planning to buy this right now, but I'm going to start preparing for the future. Heading out to buy a whole bunch of wine to start my cork collection.

  • Keith asks: If you wanted to go non-alcoholic, could you use the grape juice that looks like a wine bottle?

    • 1. Vanishing Inc. Magic responds: Anything with a champagne-style cork.
  • Eric A asks: I was very interested in purchasing a previous version until I learned of some chemistry involved, I just wanted something more conveniently automatic. Is there truly no chemistry involved here, and would you say this version is more appropriate for my requirements? Thanks in advance.

    • 1. Vanishing Inc. Magic responds: There is no chemistry. It is remote controlled. Hope that helps.
  • Moshe asks: I purchased this and watched the tutorial. I may have missed it, but I do not recall seeing the following addressed: Given the way the gimmick works and the "consumables" involved, if the bottle is not kept completely upright, or if the liquid inside shakes and gets the bottom of the cork wet, will that set off the effect prematurely? If this is addressed in the tutorial and I missed it, can you point me out the timestamp of when it is addressed? Thank you

    • 1. Vanishing Inc. Magic responds: Please email us at wizards@vanishingincmagic.com and we can discuss this in more detail with you
  • Matt asks: Can the drink be poured out and drank after the performance? Or does the gimmick spoil the drink?

    • 1. Vanishing Inc. Magic responds: It can immediately be poured and handed out to guests to drink.
