With Triplex V2, Wayne Dobson worked closely with Alan Wong to remaster a popular effect that he first released in 2011. This is Wayne’s version of the classic Three Object Test, where three objects are lined up on a table, one is freely selected, and the magician’s prediction is always correct. Using his signature “Dobson Approach”, Wayne has revitalized this classic effect to be simple, direct and powerful.

A seated performer invites a member of the audience to assist him in a magic trick for the mind. On the table in front of the magician is a poker chip, roulette wheel ball and a single die. A card case stood on its edge lingers behind this row of casino objects.

The magician explains how competitive gambling, especially poker, relies on psychology and the ability to read body language as much as it does luck. Simply put, if a poker player was able to predict their competitor’s moves, they’d have a huge advantage at the poker table.

The spectator is then offered a completely free choice of any of the three items. Once they’ve confirmed their selection, the magician removes the card case to reveal behind it the object that the spectator merely thought of.

Triplex V2 is very easy to follow and packs an incredibly powerful punch. Rarely will you find a magic trick this direct that leaves such an impact on every audience.
