This cage comes complete with gimmick and bird. The cage will stand rigid and can be held in one hand. The bird is already perched in the center of the cage. The cage is fairly well made; however, the left and right sides have very sharp points at the solder joints. I used a metal file and sandpaper to smooth the points. The gimmick broke after a few uses as the ring connector (arm side) is made of plastic. I will replace this with a small metal ring which should hold when executing the vanish. I have used an Abbott-style cage for 30+ years and needed to replace, so I am very familiar with the vanishing bird cage. (I have not been able to practice due to needing a trip to the hardware store for a small key ring to repair.) If you purchase this cage, know it may need a little bit of work to use.
