**Important Deal of the Day: We just found a few "Rose Act" kits in the UK warehouse. And when we say a few, we mean just three. These have been opened, and some of the boxes show very slight damage. All the contents are in perfect condition. **

There are moments in magic that everyone remembers. Visual Matrix (The Rose Act) on AGT was one of those moments. So elegant. So visual. So…magical. It almost broke the internet when it hit YouTube. Now, it’s had over 300 million views. That’s more than every magic act over the last twelve years of America’s Got Talent. Combined.

Now, finally, you can own this miracle.

With anything like this, you know there are going to be horrible pirated versions where people guessed the methodology and sold trash. People paid thousands of dollars for these counterfeits and couldn’t even get them to work. And that’s because Will Tsai never released the true workings. Sure, we all knew there was some black art, there was some kind of very clever surface. But the details were unknown. Until now.

Frustrated by seeing so many of his supporters and fans being taken for a ride by these pirates, Will has finally decided to share the inner workings, the details, the everything with you. And he is doing it at cost price. You won’t be paying thousands of bucks for this. And you will get the real deal.

Sans Minds are bringing this to market, but there is no arts and crafts and nothing at all to make. It comes fully assembled and ready to go. It looks incredible on camera and can be performed live as well so long as your audience are a small distance away (think Cabaret setting).

It is a very limited release and will not be made available forever. If you’re interested you need to act now. There are not enough being made for everyone. And, to be honest, this isn’t a release for everyone.

This is not just another trick. It’s a full act. Every nuance, detail and wrinkle already worked out.

This one piece earned forty million views in just forty hours. And you can now perform it.

One important thing to note is this is a purely mechanical device. And it comes fully assembled. There are no foot switches, and no electricity is needed. It’s a self-contained piece.

NOTE

There is some chatter online about the performance rights you are assigned when you purchase this item. Here’s the detail. You cannot upload a video of the rose petal section of the act. The coin stuff? You’re good. Live performance? You’re good. Live performance with a projector? You’re good. You just cannot upload any videos of you doing the rose petal transformations online, anywhere. However, if you wanted to swap out the rose petals for something of a similar size, then you’re good.

Just a pure piece of art...no wonder it's a frame.

I want to say that this is a fantastic product, however do not expect to perform this right out of the box. This is something that is going to require practice, time and effort to make this look good. One thing that is important to know before buying is that you don't have the permission of Will Tsai to perform the rose part of this act anywhere except a live setting (all recordings of the rose change are prohibited), however, the matrix stage can be performed on social media. I would suggest that when going to perform this, create your own style and act, don't use coins and rose petals, but instead look to try out some other objects and use this method for an impressive and impossible matrix phase.

On that note, I would like to offer a differing opinion to some of the other reviews and say that you do not need to be on a stage to perform this effect. As someone who has had a bit of experience with black art, I understand that some people are hesitant when wanting to perform this live. I wanted to first test this out with a few people and so I created an intimate setting (with low level lighting) and was able to perform this to people who were 2 meters away (approx. 6.56168 feet) without them seeing the method.

Hope that helps people when it comes to making a decision, however, just be aware that lighting is super important, so as long as you are in control of your setting, then you'll be fine!

I absolutely love this thing! I can say it is pretty easy to do. Just like any other effect you need to practice it before you actually perform. If you do not have access to a set up like AGT (stage, cameras, big audience) I would say don't bother getting it. It would be like getting a stage levitation illusion and being frustrated that you can't do it close up. Customizing it looks like it will be pretty easy, I just cannot find the right items to do so right now. I hope to very soon be doing a routine with this that is totally different from Will Tsai's. What it comes down to is that it is what it is. If your main goal is to do a matrix with minimal slight of hand to an audience of 80+ then get it. If you are a close up or parlor performer I cannot stress this enough DO. NOT. GET. THIS. You may be able to do this as a parlor effect if you have the set up (camera and TV). The only other reason I can see someone getting this is for youtube/instagram. Again I say YOU CANNOT DO THIS CLOSE UP the eye will catch what the camera cannot.

If you think about purchasing this effect for the trick itself and to be able to perform anywhere.
I think about it before buying it. What you get it's a masterclass on creativity process from a world-class magic consultant. The instruction video is almost 2-3 hours long.

The trick / the gimmick/ pros are only extras for your personal knowledge or your pleasure (Or a gift from Will to the purchaser like Will Tsai said). I would say this trick looks like a "walk-thru / making of " of this trick for you to perform or practice.

The packaging is absolutely beautiful from the box to the props. We can tell Will Tsai pour his heart into this personal project. It feels like a wonderful piece of collection in your place.

I think this is pretty fun and I have learn some cool stuff from it. However here’s something you should know before you buy.

Will says in the instruction video that he does not give you permission to perform this outside of a live setting, you can’t record and post it on social media. This is a disadvantage given that this matrix performance really only works as stage magic, or viewed on video. You cannot do this close up, and I don’t think it will work well in a parlor setting either.

Sure it is well made, but it does not look as perfect as it does on agt

  • Cernat asks: What we actually get? It's a gimmick and we can perform it straight away? Need some adjustments?

    • 1. Peter answers: No you can´t do it straight away. You need very much practice. No adjustments needed. But I think it´s not really for closeup. The best is for TV-shows.

  • Miroslav asks: Is it possible to do also with EURO coins?

    • 1. Peter answers: Yes, you can use every (thin) coin.

  • Rohail asks: If we wanted to swap the rose petals what can we use instead? some ideas will be appreciated

    • 1. Peter answers: Tiny paper sheets or any small objects.

  • Ralf asks: Honestly - how close can the spectator be to the table - without seeing the secret

    • 1. Peter answers: Not too close. I think the best view is from the top or as the cam stood at AGT.
    • 2. Michael answers: thanks for your honesty. This looks spectacular on camera - but it sounds like it would not be viable for real world, well lit venues, if I understand you correctly
    • 3. Mr J K answers: Agreed, Michael. You cannot go too close. It is good if you like mechanical magic. The practice lies in getting the timing right (which he does not, when you can actually see the third coin appear as he lays the card down). Personally, I much prefer the absolutely fantastic sleight of hand displayed by Ryan Hayashi in his coin matrix trick.

  • Ken asks: Do the performance angles allow for normal 70 degree seating? We only got to view this from a single POV.

    • 1. Bryan answers: This is angle proof. I've seen Will perform this in theaters with 180 degree seating.

    • 1. SGKYDUYEN answers: Yes! you can, it depends on your creative

  • Michael asks: Must we have special lighting?

    • 1. Bryan answers: Tsai recommends when using this principle, to always think about and be able to control your lighting. Go to the venue and make sure you can control the lighting to the desired level. If you can't control the light and it's too bright, then don't perform it.

  • Ananth asks: Is it easy to carry around

    • 1. Bryan answers: Check the dimensions of the frame. That’s what you’ll be carrying in the bag it comes with. You may also need to bring around your own table. An x-frame keyboard stand would work well and also pack flat.

  • Michael asks: Does it come with the video editing software that made the AGT video look better than it does live after they did post production work? While the entire video is worth watching, skip to 3:27 to see him start to talk about the video editing that Will Tsai and AGT use. https://youtu.be/_dSp_f0f9gE

    • 1. Eugene answers: No, there is no editing software included in this trick. In fact, this trick is based on just practicing multiple times so you don't even need to edit to begin with.

  • Gary asks: So spectators cant be "too close" - about how far away for this to work visually 10' 20' .... ?

    • 1. Eugene answers: I would recommend this for people who do stage magic so i'd say about 5-10ft at best and if you are performing in a dark place like a bar, then closeup could be a possibility.

  • Bruce M asks: Can the surface of the Visual Matrix be used for a self-working or manipulation card trick prior to performing the Rose Act?

    • 1. Paul answers: This is my question also. Can the framed surface be used for other tricks, such as Cups & Balls, coins and cards?
    • 2. Jianping answers: It can, but I would not recommend it. There are a bunch of things going on on top of the pad, and removing them is possible, but it could be a bit annoying when putting them back on.

  • Timothy asks: Does the trick come with instructions on how to do the Matrix without an expensive gimmick that cheapens the whole illusion?

    • 1. SGKYDUYEN answers: Nope! the Rose Act Matrix it's specially designed for this gimmick

  • Gary asks: Is the timing entirely under your control? In other words if you wanted to cover the coin with your hand before it changes to a petal then move your hand for the reveal. Do the "actions" occur when you want them?

  • Austin asks: When will the video instructions become available?

    • 1. Vanishing Inc. Magic responds: As soon as your package is dispatched, the instructions will be available.

  • Jiri asks: Two questions: 1. What kind of warranty is there on this aparatus? 2. If something inside breaks down is this a "owner fixable" or ??

    • 1. SGKYDUYEN answers: We have two months warranty. Since this frame does not involve electronic part so you can fix it by yourself

  • chris asks: How much sleight of hand is required to do the trick he did on AGT. or is it selfworking

    • 1. SGKYDUYEN answers: It's not self-working but it's not too hard to do. You will need to practice a bit for the routine
Post an answer to this question
  • Joe asks: Can you use the Frame and surface to do other tricks first... Like an Ace Assembly or a Cup and Balls Routine before performing "Visual Matrix" ?

    • 1. SGKYDUYEN answers: I think it's possible :P
Post an answer to this question
  • Miguel asks: ok so from what I understand, the routine can be customized meaning that the coins don't have to appear and reappear exactly like Wills act correct? the question is do I need to customize the coin pattern and it will work on its own or is it something I need to operate something while doing the act?

    • 1. James answers: The pattern is a 2 x 2 matrix, so you cannot vary that. You can adjust when a coin travels. You are in control, so you will operate the performance.
