Trick by Angelo Carbone (299.95)

In stock - very few available.

Cue The Magic by Angelo Carbone is a laughter packed routine that makes a spectator an instant magician. Not only are laughs guaranteed, but the magic is super strong too! Here is the effect. Get ready to Cue the Magic!

You ask your audience who would like to become a magician and perform their very own trick. A volunteer joins you on stage and you ask them to read out the script on the cue cards you are holding. During the routine, a second volunteer comes up on stage who freely names ANY playing card. Eventually when the last cue card comes into view an envelope is seen which contains the freely thought of playing card.

Cue The Magic packs flat and plays BIG! It is great trick to get a CEO or birthday child on stage and make them the star of the show. You just sit at the side with your cue cards and they do all the performing for you.

With Cue the Magic, there is absolutely no force of playing card. Any card can be freely named and it will be in the envelope. Powerful stuff!

Easy to do yet strong in effect.

As seen on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno.

Complete with custom jumbo playing cards, carry case, interchangeable cue cards, comedy lines and four routines suitable for adults or kids.

So let the magic begin... three, two, one and Cue the Magic!

"Angelo Carbone is one of the most clever and creative minds in magic. Cue the Magic is Angelo at his best and should be in the repertoire of every standup performer."
Richard Kaufman
"Yet again Angelo has come up with an idea that is so brilliant and combined it with a method that is devilishly simple. Just wonderful!"
Andy Nyman
"Love this routine. It's as fooling as it is funny."
Justin Willman
"Stage routines as interactive and entertaining as Cue the Magic are very rare. I love performing it and you will too!"
Jon Allen
"Cue the Magic is not a trick, it's an ingenious routine."

Where to start? I will try to keep this fair and point out the positives and negatives.

Positives (Because that's how I roll)
- Done correctly, it can be a devastating and entertaining effect, no doubt about it.
- Quality of the cue cards & gimmicks. They are not 5-star quality, but to be fair they are cue cards and are not meant to be made out of Tyvek or any other indestructible product. So they work well, but you do have to take care of how you use and treat them.
- The 4 routine suggestions printed on one of the cue cards (this was a great resource)
- The script suggestion printed on one of the cue cards (also a great resource)

Negatives
- Obviously the price. This effect is completely overpriced for what it delivers. It's likely so expensive as too many magicians have been involved in the development and testing (yes I'm talking to you Jon Allen, Uday's Magic World, and Angelo Carbone) It's also disappointing that Andrew Carbone had no part in any of the instructional videos at all. This should be priced at $150 "Max".
-No Instructional Videos. Yes, believe it or not, there are only written instructions on how to do the effect, with no care taken to provide hints when the cards stick, etc. There are only two "performance" videos done by Jon Allen, who is a great magician; however, the videos are terrible (with a capital T) and seem to have been shot in the 1980s. If instructional videos had actually been offered, and the performance ones been of proper quality, then "maybe" it could have been a fair price at $200.
- Although the cue cards are pretty good, they should have been on the same quality "People Power' by Andy Gladwin. They are of fantastic quality.

Overall, if you have extra money to spend and budget isn't an issue, the trick can be very strong. I would caution anyone though to consider how this will be used by you and if it fits what you like.

I've dreamt of owning this trick for a long time. Finally decided to purchase it and was a little disappointed with the quality. I needed to make my own cards anyway because of my language and could tear these apart. I would not have used these in English like they are but it's possible to reuse the gimmick if you're up for some DIY.
