Announcing the Vanishing Inc. MagicStars Weekend

Building on the success of our young magician's program at Magifest, we're proud to announce the first-ever MagicStars Weekend. This weekend event, held in Columbus, Ohio on June 5-7, 2020, is a chance for young magicians from around the world to take part in a hands-on, intensive weekend of workshops, competitions, shows, and lectures. We're bringing in some of the best magicians in the world to help mentor young magicians of all skill levels and age ranges.
You need no background in magic to attend, and there will be programming for everyone ... including parents!
There will be lectures on the technique of close-up and stage magic, as well as the business of magic. Your child will learn how to put on professional shows, how to get repeat bookings, and how to put together an act. There will be flourish competitions and a party, as well as mentoring from a prestigious and carefully-chosen panel of speakers and teachers.
What we (Andi and Josh) are doing with this event is bringing a hands-on clinic to young magicians with a focus that makes sense for them. The group will be divided into skill levels for some classes, and the entire group will experience other content together. Our headliner is Shawn Farquhar, and we're elated that he has agreed to participate. Shawn is a FISM Winner and World Champion, and also one of the kindest and most respected magicians in our craft. He is the ideal role model for young magicians, and we're excited to have him. Rachel Wax is making a big splash in the New York magic scene, and she will be speaking on her experience as well. Plus we will both be present for all events, performing and teaching kids throughout the weekend. We have additional speakers and teachers whose names we'll be releasing as time passes.
The MagicStars Weekend is just $100 for the entire weekend, and this gives you admission for all family members for the entire weekend. There are also scholarships available for families who may have trouble with the registration fee or hotel fees. Please email us if you would like to know more about the scholarships.
