Your Questions Answered

If your questions are not answered below, we are always available to help. You can email us at any time.

Are scholarships available?
For families who face hardships paying for hotel or registration, please email us to request information on scholarship availability. It’s our foundational promise that no child be closed out of the MagicStars Weekend opportunities, regardless of economic situations.

Can parents come too?
Not only can they, they must. We believe that a parent’s support for a young magician is an integral part of a child’s success. There will be programming for parents, and parents and welcome and encouraged to participate in all activities. While parents need not be present for all events, a guardian is required for registration.

What if we can only come for part of the weekend?
That’s a shame, but it’s absolutely fine. You are very welcome to come for as little or as much as you are able to.

How many family members can we bring?
We’re pretty relaxed about this. The Crown Plaza has a swimming pool, and Columbus in the summertime has LOTS of fun things to do. So bring the whole family!

How much prior experience is necessary for my child?
Absolutely none. There will extremely advanced young magicians, and some young magicians who have yet to perform before an audience. ALL are welcome, and there will be programming for all skill levels.

Is food provided?
You will be responsible for providing food for your child. There will be ample meal times to eat at the hotel buffets, and there are also many food options in the immediate vicinity. There will be a pizza party and closing ice cream party.
